Well since Flash is gonna be out, who in the area is still down to meet-up and play some games? We can use his house for obvious reasons but I'd be willing to host, or if someone else is willing to step up thats great, but if not then I'm available.

The only issue with me is that my work hours are more or less random. I have a set time at which I arrive but not leave. That being said I go in at 11am on Friday, so if anyone would like to play then I'll most likely be off by 6 or 7.

Chris I have your number, but I don't have any contact info for anyone else. My email is Truewiseman@cox.net. Send me an email if you want to play sometime this weekend, and I'll try to coordinate from there.

 

Tomorrow I think I might chill at Ek's and play a buncha random games, Mugen included. Brice probably might join in, so if you wanna hang tomorrow Geoff it's all good. Just give me a heads up.

I get home from work at around 5ish, so probably around 6 or 7.

I'd love to, not sure when i'll be free though. I promised this girl I'd hang with her on friday, and I told this guy I MIGHT go to a club with him on saturday...not so sure about saturday because I don't like clubs to begin with...


I also don't like capitalizing anything apparently...

 

here's the story you all have been waiting for...

my evo experience...

everything started off really well, but things began to go downhill when i arrived in chicago. due to bad weather, my flight was posponed NUMEROUS times (6 times to be exact). at first it was delayed 2 hrs. then after that it was an hour and a half. then it after that it was EVERY hour. it wasnt until 130am when they announced that the flight would be cancelled. the captain of the plane DID manage to land the plane, but according to him, he's already maxed out his flying hours so he couldn't fly anymore...whatever that means. this left me no choice but to spend the night at the chicago airport. when the cancellation was announced, EVERYONE who was supposed to board that plane had to reschedule their flight, which resulted with a LOOOONG ass line at the southwest airline ticket counter. but the good news doesn't end there. after waiting FIVE HOURS! in the ticket counter for flight information, i find out that the next available flight to vegas was monday, the 27th. i was extremely discouraged and seriously thought about just going back to DC. my only option was to go on standby and pray that i could somehow luckily board 2 possible planes which were scheduled to leave at 630am and 730am. once again, i am in line to ask for my chances. the lady behind the counter mustve felt really bad for me, cuz she managed to pull some strings and gave me a boarding pass for the 730 flight. mind you, there were more than 50 people waiting for the same luck, so yeah...i felt really special. the tourney started at 9am friday, and my plane arrived at 945. shag calls me and says, "flash where u at? they just called ur name!" i asked him to tell mr. wizard (evo operator) to hold off for a few minutes, which they did. i finally arrive at the venue at 10:10am. as soon as i arrived, i immediately had to play my first match and it was against Brisal. he beat me 2-1. my mind was a wreck, the only sleep i got was 20 minutes on the airport floor, and i was starving to death. i managed to only beat mr wizard (eileen) and dancingfighterG (brad) in losers bracket, but was ultimatedly eliminated by renzo's brad, 2-0. evo sucked...

however, the hotel resort experience was FUN as SHIT!!! this resort had everything from casinos, clubs, restaurants, and even a swimming pool with SAND! i had a lot of fun flirting and dancing with fine ass bitches at the club! =D me, denkai, and monty played penny slots for a few hours and it was fun. and did i mention the fine ass bitches?

i've never met so many vfer's in one room. i finally got the chance to meet plague, brisal, la_akira, yosuke, itazan, goatcheeseblues, renzo, dancingfighterG, S_aki, myke, unsafe_dan, sillywillie (who is a funny muthafucker btw), catherine (plague's wife who plays pai), rich, phoenix_death, and ken_i! these guys are probably the coolest group of people ive ever met. all i gotta say is that la_akira had the SICKEST vf spot! this dude had a set up which simulated the arcade experience from japan! i've learned a lot of new shit from this trip. i feel like i discovered something new from EVERY player there. to call itazan a beast is an understatement. after sitting down with him one on one, i've learned a whole new way to play wolf. we played 51 wolf vs wolf matches! although itazan's main character is shun, he also plays the SICKEST wolf i've ever seen. he says he likes playing "BIG" characters. he is also known as itabashi_zangief in japan. i took a lot of notes from our matches. he couldnt speak english very well, but yosuke was there to translate for me. one thing for sure, i am a better player than before. i cant' wait to share with you guys this experience. in japan, itazan tells me that saraman is the strongest wolf player. itazan is also going to new york in october. im going to make sure that i will be there for that. all i can say is...im soooo glad i didnt go back to DC! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

 

Damn, after reading Eddel's post I really want to play now. Gotta show me some of that new stuff.
