Hey everyone, I'm in the NoVA area, and I play a lot of VF4:E and 3rd Strike (not too good at either), so if there's a regular sort of meetup, where can I find out about it?

Why are Chris and Ek so fucking good at ANY 2D game they play....

 

Man I gotta say 3D games are too hard to play compared to some 2D games, man. There's still some 2D games that I barely know how to play; like Marvel and Guilty Gear. Millionz, you're pretty good at ST and 3S. Since you mentioned Melty Blood the other day I might have to bring it over one day. Ek and I use to play a while back.

Yo guys, I was just reading some of the earlier posts from the last VA thread...

Where is VA at man? Almost none of those SOVA cats are reppin, cept blackula whenever hes on dryland. What about DC and Maryland? Whats goin on? Are we all waiting for the DOA players to come with the 360 version or something? Flash I think you need to have that tournament you've been talking about sometime after EVO so we can try to reinvigorate the scene man. Hows that sound?

Also If I come wednesday it'll have to be after 10, so as long as you guys want to play that late i'll be there...Peace!

 

After SF2 first appeared - when I heard "Sonic Boom" I thought Guile was saying "Alek Foo!"

Does anyone have a CvS1 Rom? Playing it last sunday made me realize how fun that game is

 

CvS1 felt weird compared to 2. I don't think they have a rom for it yet since it's Naomi, rather than cps. I think there's an ISO somewhere for it and I remembered Ek using something called Chancast to run DC iso.

I greatly prefer CvS1 to CvS2, since it seems like a tighter, neater game (though of course it all got out of hand with roll canceling). Branching all the different grooves and adding so many characters loosened the game, IMO.

So is there some sort of online MAME thing that's going on?
