Did you notice the 3 catchthrows done against Itoshun from Segaru in Oki or the slamcombo that he did against Koufu Megane aswell then Shang?

You can get a certain nickname for having spent a certain amount of money playing the game. I think the figure is like over $5000 spent you can get it... something like that. It's one of the secret nickname paths that you can get.

"If I play any of those characters"....whoa, big talk. People like to talk so big on VFDC nowadays. Anyway, I guess to be more accurate in my question of how the mechanics work, it's really two questions:

    1. Blue flash when opponents hit Wolf/Lion out of [P]+[K]+[G] or if Wolf/Lion follows-up with the canned attack/escape?

    2. If latter, damage modifier?

ice-9, chill out, you totally misread what kbcat was saying. His quote was:

    [ QUOTE ]
If you play either of those characters in FT and actually use those techniques the flashes are quite obvious

    [/ QUOTE ]

which I thought was merely a statement on how easy (obvious) it was for anyone (not you directly) to notice the flash while playing that character. In other words, it wasn't a stab at you for not knowing. I think you've been in one too many 'discussions' with shang....

To answer your question, the RAW flash is when Wolf/Lion eats the hit. The damage modifier on the followup hit (for Wolf) is as any other hit (nh, mC, CH).

Oh cool, thanks. I see how I wrote the initial question in such a way that it gives off the impression that it's something nobody else would notice...of course that wasn't my intention!

No worries... Myke was right about my intentions with the post. I added that line because while there are many Wolf and Lion players -- not many actually use those techniques because they are relatively low reward for a high risk.

kbcat -- I think the Shang v. KiwE final super battle over in the FT forum has put everyone on edge :p

that lei-fei was so messed up. won against the shun with double light pounce, and then in another one it did about 90% of the persons bar only evade attacks.

and the rest was just standard ohsu ownage :p

important thing to note: at 1:21 in the 2004bay_05_1003.wmv vid. Lion dodges the second part of Akira's [6][6][P]+[K][P]. didn't help him, but he dodged it all the same.

Check out this flick GE @06.53 . I believe Aki to be counterable on evading the second hit, the Lion here does KK and it looks garanteed imo. Maybe ppl will start doing it more in time once they get used to it. Now that that move has been nerfed for Ver A it's not the best thing since sliced bread anymore.
