Last Updated: October 7th, 2012. After 60-plus team tournaments in the past 9 months, the Virtua Fighter Relationship 2011-2012 season reaches its climax with the 5on5 Beat-Tribe Cup team tournament (October 7th, 2012)! This is a massive event, in which VF players all over Japan gather together for an entire day of gaming. Last year, over 700 players participated!

A rough summary from the main website of Virtua Fighter Relationship (VFR) description of Beat-Tribe: The Grand Final of the 13th season of VFR ends with the Beat-Tribe Cup. With next year being the 20th Anniversary of Virtua Fighter, it is not an over exaggeration to say that the VFR events (which started two years after the released of the original Virtua Fighter) is an essential part of VF history and culture. Throughout the series, many iconic players have appeared with miraculous feats of battles in the events. Anyone can join in this event, and everyone have a chance of winning!

Top 3 teams I'm rooting for:

      1. Team #51 (Kantou) - Kusshin Generation - Shiwa (PA) / Monkichi (VA) / Memekurage (SA) / Kashin (TA) / Kurita (TA)

      2. Team #129 (Tokyo) - Tyrant - Itoshun (BR) / Yuutenji (LA) / Joseph (AK) / Ohsu (BL) / Homestay Akira (AK)

      3. Team #91 (Tokyo) - Ungaii - Norifu (JA) / Fine Play (SA) / Amateratsu (SA) / Tokyo Banana (AO) / Chabouzu (LE)

Memekurage and Fine Play are my favourite Sarah players, plus I really like Shiwa and Monkichi. Rooting for Itoshun's team because I really want Itoshun to win a team tournament. Ungaii's players I just really like.

Apparently the nico nico link needs a little bit more navigating. I and others have been able to view the video, but others are having more problems

From Sega VF Japan website. Not entirely sure why I am to view but not anyone else (I definitely do not have premium membership). For those who actually understand Japanese and can help people to navigate to view the Final 16 portion of the event by nico

It appears so. I can't do anything to fix it, just have to wait for the organizers/streamers of the event to make it public again or uploaded later. For reasons unclear, I am to able view everything except for the Ustream Final Tournament archives.

Yes somebody please explain what it sais about the Nico archive. As I get it, it's not live anymore and therefore not available for viewing. If akai can still view it it must be possible though. Dunno what to do, would give them money for it if I knew how.

The nico nico video stream was a time shifted video that appears to have been watchable up to Tuesday 6 PM JST. The video stream is not working anymore since that time have already past.

Maybe if I close my eyes and make a wish, it'll come back. Got a bit salty after navigating through the whole registration process just to find a dead end. I want to see Itoshun get monkey'd by Maichi :(
