    Can guard after 6_p(wall hit). The 2nd 46P+K you mean normal hit right?

    The damage bar is bugged. Akira can do p(wall hit) > spod with both the p and spod in one huge damage chunk where we know for sure p(wall hit) doesnt guaranteed spod.

    Oh noes, Namflow is back to take this thread back on topic. TO SHUN!!!

    So Ive played a bit of Shun in VF5R. My thoughts:

    - Dodge attacks are now linear instead of full circular. Im pretty sure this is the same for everyone.

    - Shuns new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif gives him +2dp but, unlike the beta, doesnt leave you in a good position to back stumble the opponet when they tech roll.

    - New move /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif requires 10dp and is -2dp when you use it. It is a mid punch that executes fast. Is at least semi-circular if not full circular and knocks down on hit. Maybe this is here to replace Shuns old /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

    - New move /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif requires 10dp and is -3dp when you use it. An uppercut launcher. Not sure how this is better than the Chouwan (which takes 0dp to use), but it looks like this might stagger on block, and is thus safer than Chouwan. Again, need to test this out more to see how exactly it is better to use -3dp for a launcher.

    - New move /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif requires 10dp and the second hit is -5dp when you use it. A low, high kick combo that looks like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, the second /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif launches on hit and is guarantee if the first /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif hits. Maybe you can hit chick the first /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif as to not waste 5dp. This lifts them high and can take off a ton of energy. Plus seriously, who ever heard of a VF character having a LOW launcher!?!

    - Lying down stance is now awesome. The throw from lying down can lead to some nasty combos:
    (lying down) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (to one legged stance) -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. Needs 8dp or so for the final /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.
    (lying down) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> insert your favorite Chouwan combo here.

    - New move /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is great. After /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif you can hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif for a canned followup, or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to take a drink. After drinking you can hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to lie down and go into stance, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif for a lunching punch, and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif for a kick that looks like Shuns dodge attack but launches on hit enough for at least /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to hit. Also, it seems the second hit of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is guaranteed if the first hit hits and you dont delay it. Useful for countering elbow counterable moves.

    - After /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif you have some new options. My favorite (lazy) option is /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. I saw in a video after 8dp you can do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif (dash towards the opponets back) -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. You can also use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif more effectively since you can cancel the drinkin animation when /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif hits with other moves as mentioned by SekaiJin. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif will flop and you can combo after it, but my favorite is to bait an attack and just lie down with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and then attack from lying down stance.

    - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif flying headbutt is awesome now! Great for punishing turtlers and whiffed moves, plus you can go into lying down stance after this to keep the pressure up.

    - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif can be turned into his new VF5 stance by hitting back, much like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif can be.

    - After a stomach crumble (major counter /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif for example) you can hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or with 8dp you can hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

    - Even though Shuns lying down stance has been majorly buffed, if you enter the stance at a disadvantage (for example the opponet blocks /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif yet you still go into lying down stance) they can hit you with a low kick and then pounce / ground throw you to their hearts desire.

    - Universal change, but post round pounces have been removed. So if you kill your opponet and try to stop on them with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, or even /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif the pounce wont come out. Im guessing this was removed because it was concidered mad rude and disrespectful to pounce an opponet after the round was over.

    - 10dp /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif has been nerfed yet again. This is Shuns sabaki that, if the sabaki doesnt catch a move, he turns around and does a punch that crumples. This move was first nerfed in VF5 since it used to beat throws, but now with the throw clash it doesnt. In VF5R it has been nerfed even harder, since the non-sabaki punch will only crumple on major counter instead of normal hit. poor shun /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

    Thats about that for now. If anyone has more detailed info about /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif Id lovve to hear it. Since the moves drain dp Im guessing they have to be super special in one way or another.

You could pry use a variety of things after the bounce, again just need to find which one does the most damage.

Even so - pure evil! Note the insane damage in the YouTube is thanks to Shun having 40 drinks, which isnt likely to happen in a real fight.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif your best bet with 0 drinks after Shuns surprise exchange.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is good for countering moves that are elbow counterable on block. Both hits are guaranteed and, according to SeikaiJin, the second hit leaves you with advantage on hit. However, it also pushes them far away, so it may not be the easiest to capitalize on.

    That's right. I'm assuming it will still sabaki attacks, but I don't know if it can still be officially called a sabaki since the animation has NO attack WHATSOEVER. No hit level, no guard stun... nothing. Shun just swats at the air~

    i learned that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif from BT SOU is now the sabaki and follow up all in one, which makes a lot more sense, and also explains why the move is safe now. Still a nerf, but not bad.

    That small "earthquake" during the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif means you can exact recover at that point.
    At least so far in 5 it's so and I doupt they changed it.
