The variations in damage were noticed before ver A during the first location test, I can remember discussing it in IRC agesss ago.

But yah, They could have reduced the damage for it in Ver B. I didn't think of that lol.

 

I think they just simply reduced it by 5 damage - as the change noted in the version B thread was:

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif : Damage change.

I initially thought they kept the throw damage scaling, but never noticed it in any matches?

That is in fact true, but the change was never implemented after the location test. Throws stayed the same damage no matter the situation.
As for neutral throws, it's another yes, they DID reduce the damage by 5 for most characters (unless a charater already had a weak throw, then I don't actually know).

They've given the characters A LOT more personality in the more recent revisions... This is exactly what SEGA needs to do to help sell this game in the west. I think a lot of people here, who don't understand what VF is all about, are longing for characters that are just a little more fleshed out.

And before you give me any "I can't read Japanese", neither can I, yet I found several Wolf matches. It's not hard if you use some common sense.

Oops I mean, yeah you can find quite a lot of recent matches on zoome by just typing in VF5 or Ver B and if you want character specific matches it's easy enough to copy and paste the kanji from the titles of these vids.

 

Better yet use google translator........ You lazy bastards look for yourselves!

 

The Google translator won't work since you're not translating anything. Rather, you are looking for transliterations. This website has names for the characters in English followed by Japanese:

For Japanese names, you will want to copy and paste the second name contained in the parentheses. For other names, copy and paste the first.

Other search criteria would include terms such as "VF5R" and "Version B." I think that you input those terms as is, even though they are in Romaji.
