A) Some youtube comments about akira's ABSURD single palm damage were comparing it to paul's deathfist. Well apparently Namco fixed it! I guess VF *IS* devolving /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

B) Is it just me or there's a thing going on with animation "sharing" between VF5R and Tekken? I just saw juila do akira's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif ! A little further down the video i painfully realize that akira's new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif df+p and Lion's new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif are Juila moves /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif Add that to all the moves Vanessa and Dragunov share and this is starting to look suspiciously... suspicious damnit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

Check 1:14, it only does 40ish damage!

Also LOL at 2:14 Lau does /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and the announcer mimics his OH YEAAAAAAAH /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

 

It might just be Wolf's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif down attack reanimated to look more like the Hulkster's (which I fully support, brother).

 

Yeah just different camera angle on 33P+G. I like the change, it didn't need a dramatic swooping camera haha.

Damn i forgot how much Tekken characters look like fucking robots with them stiff animations. Julia does'nt look fluid enough or her Akira looking moves.

Back on topic that announcer guys is bugged out.

 

That's exactly what it is. Instead of the dodgy scissor kick leg drop, he turns 90 degrees and drops both legs at the same time now. I think it's an improvement.

 

That is T6.0, you should see what a deathfist on clean hit does in T6 BR...

That said, Namco and Sega steal from each other all the time. It's even getting silly at this point, they're totally shameless about it.

 

I dont like the rationale for Akiras increased singlepalm damage to be that ITS COPIED FROM PAULS DEATHFIST! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE

I think Leo uses Akira's style it certainly looks more similar. But they definitely share the dashing elbow /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Rage combos are far worse. You can literally die against some characters.

 

I swear she and Prince are the same person. this is just how he's planned on extending his career.

 

Honestly, I had no idea lol. I had never seen it once in 5. If Bill Jee's frames stayed the same for R, it'd be easier to do now with high angle taking one less frame. Yeehaw.

I don't see the reason for panic over this single palm. VF has always had really high damaging combos as a whole, I think 5 may have changed that a bit? Totally reminded me of this vid though lol, the last combo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoyGOzKCB9Y

The single palm must take more than 26PP does together in Vanilla 5.

In which case, they're better off toning the damage down to 26PP damage, IMO.
