    hehe great find! So basically boys and girls what that means if if you get hit by that Akira 179pt damage combo then he deserves it because you are to LAZY to struggle.

    I think it's range dependent.

    If Akira hits single palm very close to the wall, then the stagger icon will turn red before Akira recovers out of hit stun, if he hits it far from the wall the opponent will first fly to the wall, then the stagger begins, giving Akira more time to recover and do his next move.

    So maybe followup is guaranteed if opponent is maximum distance away from the wall when single palm hits, but not when done close to point blank distance from the wall.

    I could be wrong here, but I think I know where the confusion is coming from.

    I believe that the combo IS something you can struggle out of, but the original video (AK vs BR) was against the computer, and in arcade mode the struggle icon doesn't appear. The video that Jeneric posted was against a human, and the circumstance/animations looked the same.

    That's been around since VF4.

    If you quick recover in place and block, and your opponent throws out a light down attack before you quick recover (while you are falling), the game will immediately put you in standing block animation to guard the light down attack as you are rising.

    It must have something to with the properties of light down attacks. If you try to throw or attack someone as they are rising during the invincible frames the throws and attacks just whiff. But light down attacks bring a person to standing guard.

    really? i'm gonna have to test it in vf4. that's the first time i've ever seen it (not that i don't take your word for it, rather i just want to see how it works).

    good to know though.

    New stuff in this vid:

    33P+K, 1PP, 6P+K,PP seems guaranteed on Akira on normal hit. Previously if you did 1PP this wouldn't work at all, you had to use just P to get the last three hits to connect. It seems that maybe the hitbox for 6P+K,PP has been changed a bit to allow you to hit opponents even when they're super close to the ground.

    P+K+G, P now induces a head stun like Jacky and Brad have with their new moves, allowing for bounce combo. So now Taka has a potential 30 - 50% combo from this stance, thank god.

    33P+K on counterhit sends Akira up SUPER high, just as high as lightweights do in the current version. This means that it might be possible to get 50% on counterhit on everyone lighter than Akira. I wonder what will happen with Wolf and Jeffry with this move (currently you can only do 33P+K, P, 6P+K,PP on CH against those two)

    Lmao that was great. Even sets him down all gently. I want to see it ringout sometime, that'll make my day.
    Uhh, you can combo 6K after Billjee now? And man, 95 damage on lightweights, that's hefty... like wow lol.

    And SHU in that SH vs LA match was too strong lol. Loved some of his flows.

    Did they change something about Jacky's 33p+g in Ver B? I'm not a Jacky player so i'm not sure, maybe a different camera angle?

    I definitely wanna see that. I remember loving Goh's p+k p+g near the edge of a ring, and then just letting the opponent escape it, only to fall out of the ring /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    I wonder what would happen if Taka did that REALLY close to the edge, so he walked over the side before finishing the animation haha.

    EDIT: LOL. Just watched the Taka Vane one. Where he pulls exactly what I was talking about with Goh. Just let that bitch escape it to fall out /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    After Lau does 6k+g does the announcer say AWW YEAH DA! Lollllllllll
