    Noticed Aoi's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif animation is different.
    Her /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif also has a new animation where the last kick makes her back turn.

    Vanessa's Back Charge Kick has a new animation, also looks like her shadow slicer has a new look.

    Her full circle throw (neck break) has a much cooler animation now (shudders). Her qcf throw looks like the camera is different.

    Dunno if it's a new throw or just the animation, but Defensive stance (I think it's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif) has a wayyyyy cooler animation now. Also noted that her idle animation seems like more was added to it.

    It looks like Aoi's pppk goes into YY faster. The animation of pppk seems about the same. The last K in kpk animates differently, but it doesn't seem to leave you back turned. Aoi's 234pk sabaki is animated differently as is 4,6+pk.

    I'm not sure if any of you caught it, but did you see the movement in this clip from 1:01-1:07?

    In 6 or 7 seconds it looks like this was entered:

    44,2,44,2,44,2,44,2,44,2,8,6,2 (successful dodge),8,66,2,66,8,66,2 (successful dodge),2 (successful dodge) 30 joystick inputs or more!

    My guess is that Pai was still entering 66 or 44 during the successful dodges, that's why the movement is smooth and it seems like Pai didn't react to the successful evades until the third one in that sequence. That's impressive inputting from the player. I wonder if movement is easier in R.

    Azusabo, that has been my observation as well. Look at how Brad performs OM at the ending of the first round:

    Was this possible in VF5?

    I'm not sure, but you might be able to cancel movement earlier in R. At the very least, you might be able to buffer some things sooner.

    The neck breaking part is most likely a camera trick, but nevertheless, a very good one. It really adds to the brutality of the move.

    Libertine, that's a great catch. The fastest I've been able to OM in 5 was 4 times at the end of a round. Here in your posted video, you can clearly do 5 or possibly 6 OM's at the end of the round. The recovery for the OM is probably faster or you might be able to cancel the OM in the middle.

    It looks like they still haven't fixed the hitboxes. Is that a really difficult thing to sort out?

    Can you post a reference to a vid where the hit boxes look dodgy? From what I've seen so far they seem to be vastly improved.

    Dunno how much they've been improved but I'm still noticing it a little in ver B. That Sarah Vanessa match at 1:13 for instance and on a couple of other occasions.

    I saw much worse in VF5R ver A. I've seen Jean's thrust punch make contact from a long way beyond the fist. How do you tell when your gonna make someone whiff when it's like that?

    I first noticed the hitboxes were slightly off in VF4Evo and they've only gotten worse since then.

    You're complaining about hitboxes when moves actually hit?

    It's when moves miss for no reason you should complain about hitboxes.

    That the hitbox is not exactly limited to the limb is nothing new, all fighting games work that way, if they didn't they'd be far worse, things would miss all over the place. Some choose to cover it in galaxy destroying explosions to keep the handicapped children from noticing it doesn't connect.

    PS. You can see the kick connecting with the box around Sarah's hand if you freeze frame.

    What Jeneric said.

    Keep in mind, sometimes hits (collisions) occur very fast making it difficult to see.

    Anyway, Vanessa's Shadow Slicer looks like it lost range? She doesn't seem to move forward as much as before, despite the extreme range hit we saw in the vid.

    It's quite a poor video in terms of Ver.B stuff shown. Looks like they're testing Jeffry threat stance stuff and... that's about it.

    Maybe I got the term wrong. What do you call it when moves hit when they shouldn't, collision detection?

    In that vid it is actually only a tiny gap but I have seen much worse in VF5R ver A with Jean and Sarah but don't have the links. Haven't seen enough of ver B but overall in VF5 in general it does seem a lot worse than in the VF4 games where it was barely noticeable.
