And people you don't even know owe you this courtesy because...?

p.s. I'm just thankful people who pay for the service are bothering to share their movies with us.

p.p.s. The contributor wishing to protect the other identity may irritate you, but that's neither here nor there.

Yes. 270/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to opponents back. 100 points of inescapable back throw.

Low Punch Cut -> Switch became a lot more dangerous.

    Is it guarantee??
From the animation I don't think the opponent has any chance to avoid that back throw~

Switch is +15 in vanilla 5, so unless the advantage has decreased, I'm pretty sure Burning Driver is unavoidable.

But a throw was never guaranteed after the switch in Vanilla 5 (or was it?)

That's some mighty scary punishment for a low punch if it is guaranteed in R!

Holy shit man! That was freaking amazing! I read your post and I'm watching the vid wondering what you meant and suddenly, WHAM! If Wolf can do that to you off of a predicted 2p, he is NEVER out of the match, no matter how far behind he is in health.

If it was just a normal back throw, I don't think it would connect due to the distance from the push after the reversal. However because there's a short forward lunge involved in that particular throw, you can close that gap. The Jeffry player didn't seem to have a chance to react to it, which is what makes me think it's unavoidable.

I'll try it out at some point tomorrow using the KS (since it has the same command and lunge), although I have a feeling that you're probably right and it won't connect.

We can't really test it properly without access to R though. Please Sega, can we have a console release?

I don't think its guaranteed. The Jeff had time to duck for sure.. Looks very tight though..

Seeing that back throw reminded me of the old days where back throws pretty much ended a round.

Good El blaze here, nothing to fancy though, nice use of up+pk, my favorite luacher/crumple. It's a really nice move.

Man the only character's I know in this game are Blaze and Lau...

Ok, I did a tiny bit of testing this morning and found something interesting. I set the cpu to block then /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, and the first time i reversed it, i did giant swing and got a backthrow. The second time I tried, the giant swing whiffed because the opponent was still in a special animation.

To me this suggests that if it is guaranteed, its an "exact frame" kinda thing. It is possible to do the throw too early, before the opponent is able to be thrown. I doubt its actually guaranteed because if you have to wait to do the throw, then the advantage is not actually +15 when attempting the throw. Maybe +12 or +10. That would also suggest that the opponent can press /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to interrupt/clash the throw. Does anyone know what the actual turn around time on a backwards jab? It seems to be nearly damn instant, or you'd see back-crumples a lot more. I think if you /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif while backwards, the game only considers you to still be backturned for maybe just a few frames.

However, this applies to vanilla vf5. In R, the properties may be different. The backturned state may be longer during an attack, and its also possible that after the low punch cut/switch you don't have to wait any frames before the opponent is in throw danger.

Anyway, I'll try testing the backturned /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif tonight, but I have to wait for the gf to get home since dojo won't do what i need it to do.
