    Thank you, wasn't going to post more about it cause I would probably get out of line or something or dissect the reply which I find odd. Btw I really think all characters in the game should have a KG, and almost a crouchthrow also (if just one direction). It should be a common tech by now making matches more fun.

    Also, it's been said before but thanks biggz316 for posting vids. It's really fucking awesome when you have 5~10minutes to spare to just go into this thread and see some vids you post and I love the way you highlight something in the video /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    I appreciate the props on posting vids, thanks. Since am getting so much freelance work now days I find myself on the cpu more often. Honestly the most entertaining thing to watch on the net (besides porn) is VF5R, I love watching videos of two good players kicking ass. It’s a lot more convenient to just log on to VFDC and have like 5 to 10 good fights right at your disposal. Shag was doing it and since he’s on a break I said hey let me just keep the ball rolling.

    Like everybody say mike "There's no correct way of playing Virtua Fighter 5"

    I use Brad also and i have no reason to use this move/technique if when my basics are strong. Ok so Wolf players use it to throw opponents off who feint and react to the move.So since brad don't have it not good character because KiWi said so? Sometimes you Dudes talk to too Much and do no listening.

    BTW i Really Think Shun and Lei should be able to crouch grab, Do 20 hit air combos and have strikers jump out and do sabaki's to stop nitaku situations. That way i will really make DOA my main after that. If you really need that much of advantage to stop whateva is owning you then maybe you just not good enough?


    Anyway Back on subject.

    Then why are you calling people <u>stupid</u> who don't believe in the same principles as you do? Atleast me and Krsjin were civil. And yes there is a correct, more efficient, way to play Virtua fighter as there is with all games with a core system. Good luck playing this game ignoring defensive techniques / nitaku etc.


    Uhm, strong basics? Why care for strong basics when there's no correct way of playing the game? Btw, where did I say Brad is not a good character (which seems to have offended you)?

    Look, you fucking tool, let me explain a little to you while you sit and hold for your ears. Take the example of ducking (in adv) to 0-frame cancel throw. This is much stronger. Why? Cause you can threaten with a 14f knee (stagger vs crouch gives at least PK, only -3 on guard, ch clinch) and a hitscannable float/combo with ducking PP also at 14f. On top of that you should simply do this just on the basis of stopping people from evading now that ducking K+G is -15 on guard. If you move in with advantage a lot of STRONG techniques become uninteruptable - the situation is pretty much similar to Lei moving in with PP on hit.

    What's the incentive from stopping the opponent from 2p'ing your 2 high's into a highthrow or doing something similar? P6P? Good luck with that. With PK's pushback your opponent is prone to find better solutions then just standing and guarding and in fact you're way better of probably doing P (+2) on guard into 6p / delay or directthrow (depending on if your opponent fuzzy's when P hits his guard). Atleast then you have something that can be considered a flowchart. If you get away with a lot of PKG cancel into throw's - congratulations. You're probably playing a weak opponent who doesn't interupt highstrings/fuzzy and understand the situations at hand. With KG's it's the exact opposite.

    Ps; I like the exaggeration with DOA thrown into also. That was the second time you insulted me without me having done anything to you. I think you're a fucking idiot with all due respect.

    Just to summarize, PKG isn't worthless. It for instance moves you forward and a lot of Wolfs prob use this to get inside GS range etc cause it's less obvious then dashing. It's also a pacifier. But is it a better/stronger tech than KG? No fucking way. There's a reason throwbased characters like Jeff and Wolf have KG. These boards have gone haywire when someone posts wrong information and at once two people confirm it.

    This entire side discussion has absolutely nothing to do with the "correct" way to play. You went out of your way to call KiwE stupid with absolutely no explanation.

    So, from what I gathered, it appears that you don't understand the difference in applying PKG vs KG in the context being discussed. I daresay that even KrsJin probably didn't fully understand what KiwE was saying. And that's OK. But the difference is that KrsJin remained civil in his response to KiwE whereas you kinda weren't.

    Just because you see no reason behind a technique's application, doesn't mean one doesn't exist.

    VF can be played with the head and/or with the gut. KiwE and yourself appear to be on opposite ends of this spectrum, and opinions from either side rarely agree with each other. My advice would be to refrain from making criticisms in discussions that are beyond your full understanding. Obviously, this goes both ways.

    Rather than shooting down what you don't understand, it's actually OK to ask for further explanation, or if you don't care that much about the topic then stay out of it entirely!

    p.s. I just want to say that I don't agree that all characters should have a KG cancel and a low throw. It would make the game more generic ala DOA, and I personally wouldn't like that. I prefer the character uniqueness currently present in VF.

    I propose moving these last few posts into a new thread titled "g-canceling" (while deleting some hate mail in the process /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif )

    I would also like to contribute that DS vanessa has no g-cancel whatsoever /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif I think this has something to do with her 9-frame /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. But her OS g-cancel has that weird input, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif~/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif - any insights on what might have inspired this design choice? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

    </div></div> I Do understand the differences Myke how they can be use to someone's ADVANTAGE on offense or Neutral.
    Since i did'nt want to derail the topic i moved on from my last post after i said what i said. There's a reason Brad does'nt have that along with reasons why Jacky can't shoot a fireball either if you understand where i'm coming from. Since this game is so (un)balanced it was done for a reason.Brad is a very strong character and he really does'nt need anymore techs that can give him a advantage is all i was trying to say. I could go on and on blabbering about this and that but its not worth it.So im going to just reserve the right to S myself TFU lol!

    Nice Nessa video. At 1:45 she does a different ground attack after her "Blowback" combo. Is that a replacement for her old takedown or just a new alternative option? If its the latter, it will sure take the sting out of losing her 1P+k, 4P+K reversals.(FAWK!!!)

    She may be losing her reversals but her sabakis are still there and that new attack after the takedown is a new move for VF5R. I think vanessa still has her normal takedown attack though.

    That move is just a hit throw. Her normal takedown still remains.
