VF5R Movies

I have very important question for me to someone who play VF5R (Reno?): how do you perform Side-turned guard (STG) in VF5R instead of standart(turning into face-to-face position then Guard)Guard when you are side-turned to enemy? (i.e. possibly: just press and holdibg G(whithout d-pad)=>STG;
press d-pad with G=>turn to enemy and guarding)...

 

at first glance its wtf, what items are new? What changed is now some of the image demos are available within the game. the text doesnt seem to make it clear if this is a win pose or intro but its a nice addition.

For most characters, the new items are the birds that float around... yeah...

I know for Goh he gets his knit cap as a purchasable item instead of something you gotta win. For Lion the inline skates are new. I dunno about the intro demo animations being in the game. I haven't seen them yet for myself, but perhaps they're just there for promotional purposes... no idea though.

 

Look at wolfs head bridge and brad doing the pulp fiction. Those arent available outside the image demos, normally.

 

Yeah, I know... that's why I said that they might be there for promotional purposes. I don't see any notice on VF.net about them being put into the game either....

Check out this Goh video. At 1:37, it looks like he did the BASARA
meikira Bikara throw with only one hit to lead in. Usually the BASARA starts with one hit to stun the second lifts the victim off the ground, and the thrird move is the throw.
Definitely in that video Goh only hit Jean ONCE. So is that command P+K+G, 6p? I hope the old Basara is still in the game, Goh's answer to SPOD is like my favorite move of his.

I don't think that is the Basara...it's a new chain which ends in a throw; it looks like it has mad tracking properties though.

 

It's Goh's new PKP. If the last punch hits, be it normal hit or counterhit, it'll do that throw.

 

Thanks. Looks like I have a new weapon. Can somebody answer Sugata's question though? I'm especially concerned with how STG works.

 

I haven't plated VF5R obviously, but i'm just going to make a wild guess on that STG thing.

I'm thinking if you get hit with a move that side turns you and doesn't give a guaranteed follow up attack (Let's say Akira's 46p+k+g) and just block on the follow up it will be a STG since your dude will be side turned, instead of just magicly facing the opponent again blocking. I don't think you can STG at will, just when you get hit with a move that knocks you sideways then simply block (if they're attacking right away of course) Probably spouting nonsense lol but it seems logical.
