I hope we don't get screwed over wen it comes to items and win poses when R comes out here.

Since I'm PC less(using freind's pc here and there) I haven't had enough chances to see vids until recently. Jeffrey is ridonkulus. It's been a long time coming for him but still, damn haha. What's the overall verdict on Taka right now? I remember hearing talk that he has to work for his damage more than others.

 

Looks like its commonplace now to get stuck to a wall from nearly any high enough float? In that vid Vanessa first causes a wallsplat, then a uf+K+G hits from that and causes ANOTHER wallsplat. Well, I guess AM2 is making combos like that to increase VF appeal in competition against GG and Tekken 6..

 

Or maybe, possibly, because it looks fuckin' fun.

 

^Likely. Damage has always been high in VF as a whole, and rounds end quickly. Might as well allow these combos haha.

Ok it looks fun but the overall dmg potential against a wall is just too much. They should change the wall system a bit or just increase dmg scaling when against a wall.

 

You still have a better chance of surviving it than you would if there was no wall at all /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

Wall damage is high but I think they're fair for the most part... remember there are about half a dozen stages in the game where you can't do wall combos at all, and a lot of the high damage wall combos I have seen on YouTube have been on the rectangular stages or the ultra small stages (Octagon, Waterfall, etc).

 

Maybe in future R tournaments stage select will not be random due to the ultrasmall stages..

ps. Im not complaining about this yet. Im a combo person, after all. Just getting little jittery about Jeffs damage potential.. Id rather they improve him in otherways than just combo and damage.

 

What are you talking about? They beefed up Jeffry's Threat stance, as well as giving him a bunch of new moves and tweaked his old moves! What more do you want? Jesus, it's like you're not even paying attention to the changes at all or something.

 

What people don't seem to be realizing is that Jeffry's VF5R damage potential is about the same as in VF5.
