I think Dennis makes a good point, It won't beat a delay throw as the throw escape input is too early. Is this just a safe guard if you don't fuzzy correctly? (If you mess the Input you'll still eat an attack)

In the clip the Wolf never delays his throw so I don't see any evidence of it beating a delayed throw.

If you still want to beat delay throw Fuzzy ETEG or Fuzzy Lazy TE would still be the way to go.

 

Sounds feasible, although Im not entirely convinced of its usefulness still.

EDIT: There was something wrong with this post but I couldnt get my mind around to it until now.

It is possible to block midattacks even if your character is NOT standing. All that is required is that you are holding guard and NOT holding down when the midattack goes active. Your character can still be effectively crouching and in the rising animation. Character will then 'teleport' to standing and block. Therefore the idea of mid and throw coinciding on same active frames isn't the end of this issue.. Although its not bad either theoretically.

To err on the side of caution, you need to delay the throw longer than just 2 frames to ensure they actually rise up. Although Ive never actually calculated how much is needed.

ps. Or youre wolf and lowthrow him out of the fuzzy.

SL has 4 active frames. If it connected on the second active frame it would have been +6 like is was in the video. Seeing as how it connected in an oki situation, it makes sense that it connected on a later hit frame.

Oh, cool, these are from Kakotou Konseiki VI (I surely fucked up that spelling), the tournament they had at the AM Show. I saw it live, Koedo beasted and won that thing for like 3rd time straight.

I was going to post that and request someone translate it but instead I got distracted by old Kuroda footage.

After Arcana Heart 2 came out, I guess the port was terrible, so someone on SRK did a fake 'Hitler is outraged over the AH2 port' video that was pretty funny.
