How is it done? You can tech that right?

 

Low punches have always had some relaunch ability since VF4 I think.

My guess is in VF5 R they have a bigger hit box that moves closer to the ground hence they hit you and can relaunch slightly therefore stupid looking 32 hit combos.

If you pay attention you can hear the sound of the character falling which I guess means you should be able to tech roll. I don't know why the player didn't techroll maybe it's hard maybe they were just goofing around.

PS: The combo barely does any damage anyway due to scaling.

Low punch in vanilla VF5 has relaunch ability good for one relaunch, but the relaunch is always exact recoverable

(Akira vs Vane CH + crumple -> -> -> for example)

 

Awesome pai sarah match. if you skipped it b/c these aint ur gals, you should probably peep it. That pai's style is unique. That sarah player has some sick yomi and defense.

I'm gonna speculate that the goofy combo is an exact recovery setup & that in terms of pure damage there are better combos for that situation.

Or those guys were buddies messing around.

Or one of the buttons went out.

 

Yo! Whats up with that Shippuujin double kick thing. Never seen it before. Half circular high followed by a full circular mid or something? This is the part where myke says "BITCH I SEEN THAT A YEAR AGO!"
