Noticed a few different things that aren't possible in VF5 but seem to be in R.

Goh vs Jean
Beginning of Round 4 it looks like Goh does /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif (the new input for the current /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif). Which atm is a closed stance only combo but looks like it works in open stance as well, on Jean at least /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

Goh vs Sarah
End of the first round Goh does /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. Doesn't look like a whole lot more damage but it would definitely carry them farther.
EDIT: Just went into dojo mode with this one, it does work on some characters, but never got it to work on Sarah, oh well, more combos working on more characters is definitely good /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Looked like nice changes to me though.

What? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif as new input for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif? That will take me some time to cope with it.

That combo versus Jean: Okay, does the former 6PP work in closed stance too, or just in closed stance now?

at ~0:45, Goh lands a counter-hit knee into combo for 82 dmg... I can't wait to do that someone!

I also noticed that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif into /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (the new shoulder ram motion) is 50 dmg now instead of 45 dmg like it was in version C.

I'm really wonder if it's a blockable catch throw now, that sounds like such a weird idea to me...

Can ask a serious question too???

In the official move-list that was posted...

http://rapidshare.com/files/132273359/vf5r_all.pdf.html

The PDF file, in the Goh section, it looks like all of the catch throws are just hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif as the move connects, NO DIRECTIONALS seemed to be listed there. Am I going insane???

I put a RED square around it below...

Gernburgs, you're right, every catch throw became /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif without any directional buttons.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif became a blockable catch-throw, you can see that it has now 2 hits. The first one is needed to connect. Due to that (in my eyes too much) nerfing, it does 5 points damage more now, what a bonus.
I mean, the maximum damage combo against lightweights increased to 68-70 dmg now, but it is now really tough to land. I think the only safe option is against evading opponents.

It's in the video at 2:24.
The BT Situation is at 2:53.

I see no problem with that at all, I LIKE that change actually. The whole skill behind hit throws is the timing anyway, the input is a throw-away to me.

Now the hit throws will be pure timing and remembering to enter the command, which is a big part for most...

It's not a big deal.

From what I've seen, it's faster, does more damage and seems really safe on block (looked like less than -5). Since it's an attack now you won't be whiffing or getting hit out of it if someone attacks granted you have the right frames. From what I can see, the benefits make up for it and It's keeping its primary use (ETEG stopper), so what is the problem?

Edit: talking about the new catch throw.

Well, I tought it has the same speed, was not safe on block and the idea that you can block a command that is /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif was weird in the first place.
Thanks for clearing it up, Lucky GT.

The catch throw is no longer a throw, its a special low attack. This means it can be blocked high or low.

I mostly used Goh's catch throw in okizeme so with its new properties it makes it less effective for my tastes.

What I do like is that Goh now has a standard crouching kick. He gets really low to the ground; might be as effective as Shun's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

Aesthetically, I'm really going to miss his 270 /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif throw. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

</div></div>I been bitching about that since the first vf5r Goh info, I LOVE the titty punch.

Anyways, what's this new low kick? I've seen a new low kick but he just remains standing.

I know that he has a kick with the input(s) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, but I thought it was just an additional input opportunity for his original /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.
So they changed that kick, or made an additional new low kick, or removed his current /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif?

Yeah I also will miss the old throw.
I always thought the punch to the liver to be really brutal and representative of Goh's style...

From Reno's video thread, thanks to Ogi.

here are some info from newest arcadia for goh.

6p
goh's new elbow move. u can use as former 3p. but its no more a p class, its a true elbow class now.

3pp
two hits string.(as former 6p+kp, with new animation)
frist hit normal hit, u can check check for second p, it connects. 3pp hits, opp down. frist p blocked, u are at small disadv so u can go for the second p.

Tsukami from 46p+k string(46p+k p p+g)
after frist hit, u can go for nitaku. between catch throw or mid.

66p+g (catch throw)
it becomes a special low. throw can be blocked. if opp evades the throw will work.

3p+k
new move, looks like goh's old knee sabaki. fast move, mid move.
normal hit opp crumples, combo possible. blocked, p counterable.

p.s not perfect translation. did my best.

Thanks for the info... Does it hit or stagger on a crouching opponent who is blocking?
