Being able to enter ducking and slipping from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif was a much welcome surprise for me; it sounds so good in my head that I'm surprised we didn't see it earlier on in the scant few clips that featured Brad. Though, perhaps it was an addition that came with the finished version *shrug*.

"Wild Shootdown" is fitting for that wall throw but I think beatdown would have been more apt. Do all wall throws now have alternate animation for high and low fences? I know Kage does for his, I can't imagine how slick Brad's would be if he did.

A few more points that I've noticed myself:

Brad can no longer enter the clinch from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. I'm indifferent personally; I never used the former enough to capitalise on the opportunity and the latter felt unnatural in execution. Still, the potential for extra damage has been lost.

The following moves now sober Shun by one point:

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    Long ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif
    Slipping left /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    Phasing turn /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    Ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    Slipping /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    Left side /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

Though these are significant changes to Brad's repertoire I think these additional sobering effects are being added across the character roster. It's a smart way of balancing out the noticeable improvements I've seen in Shun lately; the player will have to tailor their attacks to Shun rather than relying on AM2 to nerf him into oblivion.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is Brad's new double jumping knee. It looks identical to his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif unless they've reanimated it.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is indeed Brad's old /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif.

Sway back /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (guard or hit) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is now /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (guard or hit) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. I'd resigned myself to accepting that this combo had been removed, yet not only is it seemingly intact but it's also easier to execute! I'm chuffed.

Brad's new sway back /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif that's supposedly similar to his long ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in that it guard breaks and sobers Shun by a point, hits mid, that's going to be quite useful I think.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif seems to have been removed. It wasn't evasive enough for my liking, I won't miss it.

Long ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif has been removed. I never liked it; I felt it chafed with his other, riskier moves from the stance and downplayed long ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif's usefulness.

Brad doesn't seem to be able to "throw" (move /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif) his opponent during the clinch. This is potentially very bad news in my opinion. Unless the opponent can no longer escape from it then it'll be exceedingly easy to predict which attack to defend against (there'll only be two choices within a maximum of three turns). If that turns out to be the case and with the loss of two ways to enter it then it's been gimped. Unless there's been a significant increase in its damage or, for me, it's been reanimated into something befitting my tastes... (vain git that I am).

Perhaps this is the price we pay for the improvments to sway back...

    Thanks Adio. Very informative.

    http://vision.ameba.jp/watch.do?movie=1003247

In this video, we can see that Brad's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif gives a different hit effect on counter hit. The opponent seems to fall down more quickly now. Maybe it's a rape. Also, we get to see Brad going into slipping from his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. It doesn't look very useful, but the game is young. Who knows what uses people might come up with for it?

Watching this vid makes me wonder if Ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and a throw from Ducking will replace nitaku between Ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and a throw from Ducking. If it's true that you can no longer move your opponent from the clinch, then there's less incentive to go for the clinch anyway. It looks as if Ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif launches on counter hit and mC while forcing a crouch on normal hit.

That Brad had a nice mind game going there with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to a throw.

Slipping Left/Right /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif was also shown for the first time. It looks like it will only launch if the series connects on a counter hit or if the uppercut connects on a counter hit.

Just to summarise what I said at youtube:

Ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif seems to not leave him at a great disadvantage on block. Nice.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif at 1:08 seems to only slam on a counter. Fair play.

1:31 shows that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif doesn't seem to combo off of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif on a counter anymore. Perhaps we'll now have to follow up with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif? I'd like that.

On a trivial, its been already mentioned that we see slipping /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif; Brad really does crouch low before delivering the uppercut. It'd be so cool if you could charge it into a "Tiger Uppercut" (not the crazy multi-hitting SF Alpha Tiger Blow variant), I actually think it would be fitting and just within the realms of acceptable flair...

I'm a little confused here. So that elbow is actually /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif? I thought that was his reanimated /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. If that move is, as you say, really /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, then how come we haven't seen anyone using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in the clips? It's a staple move. I really think that elbow is his Sawk Klab reanimated that you're seeing.

In that case, how is that fair play? This sucks! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

If what we see at 1:08 is the new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif then it only slams on a counter (0:39), whereas /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif as we know it slams on any hit. If what I think is /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif has better stats than /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (faster to execute/recover from which, from my perspective, it noticeably is) then it'll fit snugly into the "risk verses reward" category. "Fair play".

The info Myke got from VFBBS (see page 2) states that there's a new elbow attack from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and the recently released movelist confirms that command, not its property beyond its hit level mind you, however it does state that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif still exists.

Of course; without concrete evidence all I or anyone here says isn't a 100% but, with a little initiative, it's not hard to accept the possibility that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is intact and that players just haven't been arsed to use it. To my knowledge there's only been eight R clips that feature Brad and in most of them the players didn't/couldn't use Brad very well or were focusing on specific strategies. Being within the "location test" period this was understandable, I expect to see a greater number of high calibre clips in the future though that should feature a wider use of his moves.

Edit: A big thank you goes to Tsobanian; this clip couldn't have come at a better time!

    http://www.geocities.jp/sanchan52000/movie/2008-7-8_21_47_EILEEN_vs_BRAD_ID_CMT_DMG_H300.wmv

At 0:44 Brad enters the clinch and immediately uses /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif however the struggle icon did briefly appear leading me to believe that an opponent can escape it... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif has also been reanimated.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif slams on a counter at 1:16 and...at 1:47 we get visual confirmation that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif exists. It doesn't hit, so its properties are still up in the air but it does add some weight to my theory.

Also worth noting is that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif now flips the opponent when they're in the air, which to me is a nice touch.

I saw nothing in the video that suggested that. What did you see?

I have a feeling that refloating with the newly animated low punch is the standard start to foot crumple combos now. And if so, R will offer more variety than previously in this department.

At 2:14 in the Jeffery vs Brad clip Brad does /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, Jeffery blocks it, immediately retaliates with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif but Brad hits Jeffry with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. So ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif leaves Brad at less than 12 frames disadvantage.

What I meant and should've said was that Brad "isn't screwed if ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is blocked", I don't have frame data for him or any other character in R. Sorry for the confusion.

I really want to know the properties of his 1k+g, also i want to see his sway guard break, i wonder if pk is guaranteed like his ld GB, haha i guess as well also is clinch unescapable, or mabey untechable?? that player did neither, not even tech. hmm so many questions, mabey if you hit clinch you get that guaranteed. it seemed the window for break comes after that knee was executed, and they didn't (or couldn't) tech??? interesting.

Few things also worth noting from that vid:
@2:43 /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif connects on CH for 48pts of damage and knocks down. Very nice.
Also I'm willing to bet that Slipping /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is going to be a useful tool after one of Brad's floater connects to re-float the opponent higher in the air. I know it's too early to tell but I can dream.

Thank you for this, this changes a lot. I was afraid that his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif was replaced with something that had less range and only knocked down on counter hit. I'm glad to see that my fears can now be put to rest. Since I thought that his new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif was his new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, I assumed that it was 14 frames and recovered just as slowly. If you're correct about the quicker execution/recovery of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, then it's a very welcome move. Anything that executes faster than 14 frames that allows for a combo, even if it's high and requires a counter hit, is a good move in my book.

Shinn_Akira, those are really good questions. It would be nice if Brad's Neck Catch /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif was untechable again like it was in VF4:Evo, but I think that it might be too strong. The Brad player in Adio's clip showed Brad following up with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif for 85 damage. On the other hand, the opponent would have to be in the clinch and they would have an opportunity to escape from being launced from there. The damage also would fit in with the Tekken 6-like approach that VF5:R seems to have taken towards combos.

tonyfamilia, I want to know if Brad can get /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif(Ducking)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif after a head collapse/stomach crumple for a bounce combo. Brad vs Pai
    http://dogalog.excite.co.jp/viewvideo.jspx?Movie=48347944/48347944peevee183709.flv

A tense match (for me at least) with some nice, damaging, combos throughout. The /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif variants seem to blend in well with his combo starters and finishers (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif respectively) and the damage he took off of the wall at 02:27 was particularly memorable.

I don't know if it's just me but at 01:09 it looks like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif doesn't cause a stumble anymore.

Finally; at 01:57 we see what I think is his new sway back /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. In my opinion the comment that it's similar to long ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif seems to be spot on, but we'll have to see it hit before we know one way or the other.

Assuming the Jeffry player wasn't slow with his input (it didn't look like he was), then that's the best one can conclude at this stage. Brad could still recover at -10 and beat Jeffry's high punch with his low. This doesn't mean Brad has a "lot of advantage", it's just the way the system works (lows beat highs).

After watching the sequence repeatedly, it's hard to tell but it kind of looks like Jeffry acts first indicating that Brad should be disadvantaged. However, what's interesting is the yellow flash indicating a counter hit. The CH could occur if Jeffry was going into a canned followup, but it's too difficult to tell.

At best, I'd say it's either even or a small disadvantage.

    Either way, I'm loving it!

I found some more information at the BBX site:

It seems as though counter hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is possible on lightweights. Itoshun performed a similar combo in a previous clip which did 91 damage. The BBX combo is different in that a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is added and ends with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif instead of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

If I'm reading this correctly, and I think that I am, Sway Back /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif will cause a stomach crumple on normal hit! When you consider the fact that Brad now has this along with a new mid hitting guard breaker, Sway Back has received quite a boost!

They talk about refloating the opponent after counter hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, as Myke mentioned.

They have no idea what to do with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif other than to use it when the opponent is against the wall. They also talk about the possible advantage Brad may have when /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif connects on a counter hit. Nothing concrete unfortunately.

The new counter hit property to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is discussed, but there is no indication that the combos are any different now.

It looks like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is possible.

While Brad has received some notable downgrades, I think that his VF5:R incarnation may be the best to date! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

A guaranteed crumble off of sway back /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif would be something. If it's indeed true then sway back has been given a lot more attention than I thought. With the simplification of the "Rajadamnern Combination" (was /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif guard or hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and is now /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif guard or hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif from sway back) and the introduction of the new sway back /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, it seems that AM2 are subtly trying to nudge it into more player's repertoires. I hope to see more players making use of the stance, I certainly will.

    I like the idea of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif CH, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif a lot.

The possibility of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif giving advantage on a counter hit would make it a significant (and fitting) low poke. Is this a vague clue that it doesn't knock down or inflict a crumble like its sway back /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif counterpart?

Here's a Brad vs Goh clip posted earlier in the week in the "VF5R Movies" thread:

At 00:36 you can see Brad hit Goh with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif on a counter and briefly see the new head crumble animation. The clip also features some slipping and ducking from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in the second and third rounds.

From what I've seen, personally I think Brad has come through from 5 "smelling of roses". I prefer the new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and ducking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and I never used /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. The clinch is the only area where, from what I've been able to decipher, he's been diminished. I guess we'll need to see his frames to get a complete perspective but I think AM2 have done right by him so far.
