    Parking is so expensive.
I thought it would have their own parking area.

Are you looking at the South Town Arcade website parking suggestions? If you plan on being there from 3pm to 11pm - that parking lot would cost ~$19.00.

Yes, I was looking at the rates for parking and it costs about $20 if I stay until the event close. Plus $10 entry fee.

    lol!

I mean, let's overlook a potential [2][P] spam fest that may occur in a lot of the tourney matches due to competitors being new to the game and simply not knowing other things to do in certain situations. But oh yeah... we don't want to see you do throws because we think they're cheap. Now what kind of logical sense does that make?

I feel bad for Wolf, Jeffry, Goh and Taka players. They're already in a lose-lose situation with this so-called "regulation" before this tourney even begins.

I think it is to be taken as a joke. I'm guessing some of the things posted were copy and pasted from past tourneys.

I will be there around 3ish
I also have a nearby hotel room with an extra space if someone wants to split the cost

Updated first post with the actual prize Sega will be providing: exclusive T-shirts for the top 3 finishers.

And for those upset about the "throws are cheap" (which was a joke rule), that was removed from their website. [IMG]

Haha, good move by the organizers. Because I was well on my way to telling 'em to drop dead. [IMG]

I *might* - key word *might* - have room for somebody at my place in Daly City on Friday. Saturday is considerably more unlikely. I'll have to check with others in the house, and one of them's away on business right now. It's fairly close to SF, it'll take an hour at most to get into the city via bus/BART and such.

Caveats: I need to know you from some manner of previous meeting, and you need a high tolerance for plastic people. And ponies.

What a bunch of jokers -_- ...anyways another update. Through Southtown Arcade's twitter and website casuals will be 75 cents per play.

Edit: "Pre-registration is possible and encouraged! Please register at the front desk! NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR ANY REASON."

free casuals would have been great but I understand and don't have a problem with pay for play on casuals. too bad it wasn't something basic and old school like .25

When VF3 first came out, I remember the game cost $1.00 per play -_- . If I remember correctly, I think Reno mentioned the cost to play VF5 in Japan was relatively expensive.

yeah i was hoping it would be freeplay considering pax was freeplay not to mention all the times other companys like capcom had the free fight clubs here in the bay and even namco had a free sc5 launch party for people to demo games.

i think when vf3 came to pier 39 in sf it was 2 bux to play.

oh well, i'll still be there. i hope it doesn't deter anybody from coming though.

p.s. if anybody coming plays me, just let me know if you want to try to practice combos for the first 4 rounds or whatever and we can just fight it out in the last round so we can maximize our playing time.

To be honest, I'm kind of disappointed [IMG]

I was greedy and try to test all characters as possible. 0.75 per play can cost a lot during 4 hours casual time. But anyway, this is the only chance to touch FS before summer so I'll still go for it. [IMG]

Im assuming this pay to play idea comes from Southtown. Kinda bs considering most people would just want to practice so they would at least have a decent showing when the tournament and the stream start. Your already charging me 5 to enter your establishment why do you want more?

Sorry about the grammar and misspellings. I am using myphone
