Thanks to Reno, a translation of all the hot features can be found in the next post. How does joystick configuration at the character select screen sound?

At least then there's an incentive for other players to buy those packs, where's the fun if every character looks the same?

The main reason I think Sega need to change their approach for the visibility of DLC items for all in online play, is that it actually represents part of the mental game in the head to head experience (imo).

Seeing what custom outfit an opponent is wearing communicates a little bit about them. Even the choice of attire might be subliminally related to a player's play style, between yomi abare and yomi defensive.

When I briefly got to experience online play for a few months in VF5, I typically used to choose my opening gambit at the start of the first match round, based on inferred skill level and anticipated move choice by an opponents dress code.

Liscense challenge mode idea comes from vf4 final tuned. Why has no one mentioned this?

Will we get Bingo Mode, and Knockout Trial from the arcade version?

These are ?'s only time will answer.

Hopefully they'll have some online tournies where we can use cheap amounts of points or ps money to participate, like online tournies for a buck.

That's a really good point. I didn't even think about that. So, it will either be that the AIs will all be in default costumes, or they'll have items and... Sega's lying to us? Or maybe the game will just have the items for the AI characters and nothing else?

It should be interesting to see if Sega says anything about this. Regardless though, I don't care how Sega handles this DLC thing. The game is coming out, that's all I care about. I'll gladly pay anything for it and buy all the DLC that I can!

I agree, it's great this game is coming, can't wait for it! However, as someone who hasn't got the time to seriously get into the nuances of the fighting (I think the highest I got in VF5 online was 5th dan), the item customisation aspect is one of the ways I enjoy the game. And one of the main reasons for customising my character is to show off some cool designs to my opponents, so at least I look good when I lose [IMG] So yeah, it's cool if I can see my downloaded customisations, but knowing that my opponent might not be seeing the same customisations kinda destroys the sense of persistance, and part of the reason for even customising in the first place. Isn't one of the main reasons people love MMOs because they can parade around showing off their latest gear to other players?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're getting the game, and I understand the file size restrictions of XBLA (which probably doesn't apply to the downloadable version of the original VF5, since that's part of the Xbox's Games On Demand or whatever it's called, which is probably a different, larger-file-size service), which is probably why we're not getting items bundled at launch. But surely it would be little issue for Sega to include a free 'patch' as soon as you go online, as others have said, which would give you all the extra data for ALL items, so at least you'd be able to see your opponents' customisations, but of course wouldn't be able to use them yourself until you paid for the DLC to unlock them (just like Street Fighter IV). I also agree with what others' have said - you see a cool item someone else is wearing, and that makes you want to go and buy it yourself. Makes great business sense, Sega [IMG]

It seems pretty clear to me at this point that VF5FS is going to be priced at 1.200 msp / 15 dollars, ( due to the XBLA size restriction and the fact that the 360 will have a mandatory demo ), which is awesoooooome.

Now lets hope they fix the items display for the non dlc buyers.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this yet, but with License Battle being a bunch of special condition battles, does anyone think that one of them could be like in the SF4 style FS April Fools day vid?

Something makes me think it might be in just because it would be amusing.
