VF5FS at Evo 2012: Event Details and Trip Planning

ugh I wish I was going to this one but no money.*Sniff* ah well I will be watching the stream and definitely going next year.

 

A few things

#1 Is SEGA going to release a bracket schedule?
#2 Plague and I will be staying at the Imperial Palace and bringing a couple of setups.
#3 Is anyone locally going to have some casuals on Friday or Saturday night?

 

For the local casuals I'd be willing to run something at my pad. The only thing is that my place is on the southwest side of town by the South Point so it may be a lil outta that way for some. Worse case I can help to bring some setups to somebodies hotel room.

 

Is anyone going that has a laptop? The thing is I want to cover the event for the site and mine is messed up, all i need is to borrow someones laptop to pass over the footage from my camera over to an external hardrive so i can free up space to get as much footage as i can over the weekend. We could do this at any of the casual meets in the hotels and such.

 

wtf is the schedule of this thing anyways? anybody know?

 

I think a bigger place will be needed unless someone is staying in a big place on the strip

I just really hope we aren't starting at 8am. I've heard that that's when some of the pools start.

 

I have a pool starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, so yeah, I hope VF isn't starting around then. Also, did Sega ever announce if they're running this in pools or just one big bracket? I'd like to have a general check-in time so I don't have to wait around the BYOC area all day waiting to play.

Also, sounds like there's going to be some casuals going on during the weekend? I hope to meet up with some of you guys and get some games in!

Getting in around 4 tomorrow. Looking for some casuals in the evening! I'll have my 360 and a couple of sticks.

 

I get in about 10 PM or so. I'm down for anything.

 

As far as casuals go, how are we going to know which rooms to go to? I decided not to bring my Xbox 360 due to hearing how the Imperial Palace is sort of a shithole (but I don't care because it's cheap and I'm not going to be spending much time there), so I'd love to get some casuals in tomorrow. Cell phone number exchanges have worked well in the past...
