You can also control the 2nd Dojo character with a 2p controller now (very useful).

On the PS3 you can play Quest/Kumite from the 2P side.

Is that possible on the 360? How do I play Quest mode from the 2P side?

Please tell me this is possible. *runs*

Ok here's the problem. I have a standard 360 controller and a TE stick connected to the console. Whatever controller I start the game with is the only controller that responds whatsoever. Meaning I cannot play versus mode with both controller. The game will only recognize one at a time.

Who knows how to rectify this?

Yes. You can play dojo and quest (not sure about arcade) from the right side on 360 by keeping RB-button pressed when choosing that mode.

This important piece of info has helped me a lot so thanks to whoever it was who told me. I have forgotten the name [IMG]

ps. You can play versus with both controllers. Its one of the xbox-version screwups that you can only move in the main manu with the controller in slot 1. You also have to set the buttons for the second controller using the first controller in the main menu. When you choose versus, just press start on the second controller in character selectionscreen and it should work.

pps. Try not to disconnect controllers that have gamertags signed in on them. That confuses xbox [IMG] and reboot may be needed.

You're the man. Thanks a ton for all the info.

Yeesh...without this forum I would have NEVER figured any of that out on my own. And nice call, I actually did unplug my controller, and I did have to reset my console because of the gamer tag issue. I don't see any of this in the manual anywhere (though I just gave it a cursory overlook) so I can't imagine how MS or Sega would think a person would figure any of this out on his or her own.

    Off to Quest.

One of the load screen messages tells you to hold down RB to play on the 2p (right) side.

Just going off of what was discussed on the shoutbox what are the names of the best AI's in the quest mode.

When playing the higher ranks on expert there's still a lot of variation between the good and the bad. The best ones are probably even better than anything in VF4Evo. It's a shame you can't rematch them unless you lose to them though but at least if I have their names I could look out for them.

I just pick one of the 2 best arcades. The top left or the bottom right one. It depends how far through quest mode you are, but those two arcades will most frequently pit you against the toughest opposition available.

I couldn't really give you a list of the names, as i just chase the high ranks. I'm sure there must be a list of quest opponents kicking about somewhere. Only a few names stand out for me. Fu-do (Lion Conquerer), because i really struggle to beat him without gimmicks. Jin(Kage) for the same reason, and Denkai(Jacky) for his Flash sword kick spamming lol.

I haven't taken any character up to the highest rank yet so I haven't faced any of the conquerors. As I went past the dan ranks though I noticed a few of the AI's were really good but many were still bad such as an Akira who spams yoho and a Lau who keeps doing his jab combo into low sweep (on expert setting). There was a Kage on the other hand who was really good to play (can't remember the name)

I'll get up to those higher ranks though if the quality is better. I just hope it doesn't really cheat and prevent me from using viable tactics.

I can't say it doesn't cheat because it's inhumanly good at certain things. Forget all about most stagger comboes. I'm quite certain some opponents put in all 6 directions when they ETEG as well!!

That said, it's really good practice and if you can outplay rather than out think it, then your game is solid. I'd advise lowering the difficulty and just clearing quest quickly. You're meant to get a greater mix of opponents after you clear the final tournament.

I was diagnosing my XBL connection yesterday. On a whim I checked out Xbox 360: Port settings for Xbox Live. I think that additional ports have been specified sometime in the last few years. I recommend checking your router settings against those in the link. I only had two of the four ports open when I checked my router.

the best ai's in quest are; Fu Min, Georgeous, Ghandi, Hannabi re, Homestay, Tricky J, Chofu kk. The rest seem to only attack after you choose your input. Its still better than Evo where i could get a guaranteed low reversal/sabaki by k canceling. After a number of wins, the cpu is only gonna attack after you anyway

Dumped this info in the shoutbox earlier, but i suppose it could go here.

Was playing quest mode and came across an Eileen called Siuling in Sega world north (paladin rank). What's interesting is the regularity that Siuling used zenk flip. Good training to learn to jab on reaction when you see the flip. I'd recommend it if you're one of those who still after all this time can't deal with the move.

Zenk Flip, Eileen's [2][3][6][P]+[K]? I found another AI who loves to use it. MonkEQueen from Sega World Route 101. I had to OM P the whole battle pretty much.
