    I guess from now on, dont worry about how weak or strong she is now or how she's going to be. Just level up with the stuff you got now in ver C, and be ready to add some cool new shit with R.

    I know sometimes the matchups are mad difficult and that you probably feel the balance is stacked, but don't let that hold you back or anything like that. Just keep playing well, and take your loses if those happen. I'm pretty sure when R comes out here, and if Sarah is strong, people will use our bitching, complaints, and excuses against us.

    So, just roll with the kicks. Just try to be more solid.

    Are you sure about that? I play with Sarah, and I've never seen her DM kick cause my opponent to be in a side turn situation. The only move that does that is her 6K+G->K(She does a side step hop, up the screen. then lunges forward when the second kick is implemented)The second kick is one that causes the opponent into a side turn situation(If it connects, obliviously)You might be confusing her "Shadow Slash"(6K+G->K)thinking is her DM.

    Actually Sarah's k+g causes a sideturn on hit too. I don't know what SDS Overfiend was talking about though. *shrugs*

I'm not saying I'm a good Sarah player or anything but against guys with good flowing offense, sometimes I feel like unless I get the very 1st hit of the round, I'm screwed because I can't stop you without guessing.</div></div>
    This is a very good post, I very much agree with what Holyvagabond said. She doesnt have basically any defensive options, the sabakis she has, normal stance P+K basically needs to be inputted from advantage so its more of an offensive weapon to shut down interrupt attempts. FL P+K, huh, in order to use it you have to be in flamingo which kinda tells that you were on offense since you cant enter flamingo quickly when youre on back foot. Etc etc. She has moves to jump over lows but again, she needs advantage. All her real strength in 5 lies in constant offense and mixups.

    I think her strength relies in how you defend yourself while using your offense. For example, every catch throw I use, I'm entering throw escapes.

    So personally, when I play Sarah, I'm using technique after technique after technique. She's never boring.

    P+K can't be used defensively at all, the sabaki'ing part of the move starts far in, it's basically just a protected attack you use on the initiative.

    - Multiple times in this vid you see a standing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, possibly mid /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif series. Delayable. Haven't seen it from FL yet but most of Sarah's jab strings are accessible from FL.

    - At 1:03 You see what looks like Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif series (formerly 2K,K) but with the 2nd kick cancelled into FL. I've seen this a couple of times in the VF5R vids and everytime I see it it looks like there's a BIG delay after the cancel before the next move by Sarah. I hope it's not so because that would be an AWESOME lead into the FL.

    - At 2:23 there's another jab series. Standing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to what looks like Sarah's FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif. Hit-throw maybe?

    - Sarah looks sexy in that outfit. <0 0<

    - At 1:10 Sarah's FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is ducked after the 2nd hit. So it's not a true combo like the SS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

    One of my biggets gripes yet was the reported removal of her current FL P and it being replaced with FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+ /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif... So those strings arent accessible from flamingo much longer.

    - At 1:08 one of my fears are alleviated. The /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to FL transition to another attack delay isn't big at all. Yeaaaaaaah boy! Keep that FL entrance, Sega. It's hot.

    Pretty funky looking. One would think you could techroll out of the 2p. I probably won't use the juggle because it's kinda ugly (I'm a vain combo user). I'd rather just do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and start the new SS mixups for wakeup games.

    Sarah: PP2K looks like it's gone. At the half walls with her back to it? PP2K was too good, sure it was unsafe if you guarded it, but man it comes out fast and getting like 85pts on normal hit from it was some good shit even though the setup doesn't happen often. Fair loss.

    2K is now standard low kick command, instead of 1K(which is new dragon input)

    3KK is new jackknife command.

    3PK is better now because of 3PP which the 2nd hit is mid, no more people ducking on reaction and Sarah losing.

    It appears that the while rising K+G knee have been changed to just K instead of K+G. That's kind of scary input wise, for mistakes.

    3P+K bitchslap I think takes a drink point, and from the videos I've seen it reaches pretty low so this definitely a good much needed vs Shun move, especially with it's CH flop thing going on.

    FL K seems to be back to a single hit now(from video viewing), so those that were fast enough to sabaki the 2nd part of the auto 2 hit can't anymore. But, FL K is no longer special high.

    FL 6K knee should make up for not having the special high. That 2nd hit of the knee to the followup, both are mid.

    What is F-type FL P6K+G?

    Looks like the Step Stance move list has been reduced, but looks more useful. The catch throws are in Step, atleast the gatling kick beat is. There's a P+G and 41236P+G(which I'm guessing is gatling command). Even though Step Stance is currently rare to pull off, I'm goign to miss the 3 mid kick and double circular high, for the oki setups. Step might come out more often now that it's got some more rewarding stuff.

    Having sweet pain at 41236P+G and gatling at the same command is easier to not lose time.

    1:30 seems like PP4PK combos on MC?

    As said earlier about FL P,2K/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gifK not being a true combo, it is but in that vid the player tried low punching. If the low kick hits on a crouching opponent then the last kick whiffs. Not sure if it's like that in the final version.

    No one said this out loud yet. Step comes out WAY faster than before so people actually might have to predict stepping instead of just going "oh yawn, it's a step, I think I'll jab" on slow reactions.

    I think I've seen b+K with out it entering FL. It was in one of the recent videos (probably this week).

    It seems like "some FL stagger, FL 6K,K, 3P,K, FL 8K" is a combo on most midweights if the FL 6K hits them out of the stagger.

    FL Pd+KKK whiffing on crouching opponent has been known for some time now..I think its the same in VF5 too (just different input and no float).

    I dont have anything meaningful to comment about R sarah...

    Actually, I started thinking about that too, since I think I've seen some other NCC that shouldn't work but it still did on Taka.
    Just can't remember what it was.

    I'm still waiting to see Sarahs differing throw animations on Taka. I think I've totally missed them or I just don't remember seeing any. I'd bet 6,1P+G and 6,4P+G have differences.

    There was some vid with Sarah finishing with MC 3P+K and getting 3 more as bodyslashing resulting in -4DP finish. You could probably get those three 3P+K's out of many other finishers too making round endings against Shun more rewarding most of the time (not to mention slapping the goof sober is satisfying).

    Please, please, please be a full circular attack... but it's mid, so that's very unlikely. Is it at least half-circular? How fast/slow is the kick of the F-typo compared to FL PK?

    I'm kinda bummed you don't have the option after FL K+G to stay in flamingo anymore.

    Finally had a bit of time to watch some 5R vids...

    FL sweep takes you out of flamingo. Boo.
    But as far as I can tell it is not low throw counterable. Yahoo. (Can someone confirm?)

    FL df+K+G seems faster. Very nice. I'm assuming the hit throw still works vs. defenders as well.

    Sarah losing her old df+KK triple side kick is sad. It's her trademark since VF1 IMO and an homage to Chun Li, too. But I anticipate heaps of joy from being able to G-cancel the punt kick-side kick into flamingo. I'm salivating at the mixup opportunities.

    I don't know if I or anyone else posted this but, FL P+K will counter low kicks aswell now. It's not a low punch exclusive anymore.

    Yeah it's crazy shit. Someone had brought this match to my attention awhile back, but I had figured since I didn't even see the video before they did, that someone had already knew about it. This thread got bumped and I don't think I saw it mentioned.

    Now, taking a look at it though, it doesn't seem like using it brings the same reward it once did. BUT atleast it's not such pigeonholed super risk choice anymore.

    btw, Shun's low kick was not exactly a flamingo threat in the first place, moreso a normal stance threat, but Sarah's 2KK(now 3KK with stance change!) helped that.
