    In the Vid VS Jean, he didn't even hit him at all. The burning hammer just came out, just like that...Or somehow I missed something. Oh, and no way the KS is gone /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

    DE is +4 on NH right now.

    Are you saying you want advantage on blocked DE?

    SDE on NH now doesn't really "float"... it knocks down. You get no combo if they tech roll. So most people don't even pressure it to check if they tech rolled. I was talking about 66p on block also granting advantage being cool. They said it was changed and that they were "beefing up Akira's single strike game". I'm just curious as to what is different about it. You can call the advantage on block for 66p though, fanboy speculation.

    Everyone's already breaking down the new moves and everything right now...but me, I'm just speechless after watching these vids...

    Seriously, this game is looking amazing!!!

    Everything from the new VS screen, to the new HUB, to freaking Taka-Arashi(Who has some really cool moves as well as cool intro and win-poses), to Jean Kujo(Awesome moves, stance and idle animation), to the Sand effects on Eileen's remixed stage, to the new look of Lei Fei's remixed stage, to Jacky's new remixed stage, to the remixed Colosseum(Reminds me of the one on VF4:EVO), to Akira's new idle animations, and even El Blaze's new wall-throws!!!

    I love Virtua Fighter!!! ^_^

    Okay...I think I'm done now. lol

    All I hope to see is a Jacky and/or Pai vid and I'm good, but thanks for the vids so far Myke!

    Now, I'll just go back to my PS3 Ver.B for the time being...hopefully R will be released on PS3 w/ online...Please...

    LOL, what could it be man... looked the same to me. Maybe on CH it yields different properties instead of just nitaku! That would be interesting. That would mean counter hit DE yielding big rewards, and CH SDE yielding the even bigger crumple reward. Sounds cool to me (and more reasonable =P)!

    Why's everyone getting excited over the HUD, haha. It's only the part with the time that has changed, right?

    I liked Akiras new animation for 43p, that looked cool. Some of his new moves looked good too but i'd like to know about their uses a bit more.

    DE is fucking fine as is. +8 on MC compared to the usual +7 for elbows. Yeah... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif is hard to buffer perfectly every time, but shit.

    Yeah, I want a 15 frame mid for Vanessa that crumples on counter hit for 60+ damage combo.

    Akira is fine (fine as in= FUCKING GOOD), and I sure as hell hope that they don't give him any more beefs (in relation to everyone else).

    On an SDE NH float you can low kick, maybe, everyone. You can also AS3 most everyone.

    What is the difference between +7 and +8? There is none, still Nitaku. Only reason Akira needs +8 is so that his Youhou will beat out all jabbers in that situation... it is more of a frame balancing for what they want to be able to hit when, than it being meaningful in the grand scheme of the game.

    For those that remember VF3 well -- based on the few videos that are out, looks like the bulk (no pun intended :p) of Taka's movelist and animations were ported over to VF5R with few chamges. Although I did notice that Taka's hand sweeps don't knock down anymore (and iirc they did -- looks like I might have to dust off the VF3 this weekend to double check).

    I'm glad to see he's back and not significantly changed from VF3. Though, in the El Blaze v. Taka video, the Taka player does use a 2 punch combo that is new to me, and at some point cancels one of Taka's double palm strikes into a low kick -- I assume it was Taka's charge move that was cancelled. Also, one video has Taka doing a new throw (possibly a wall throw?) that was multiple strikes.

    Any Taka players notice anything else new in the videos?

    By and large he looks the same to me as well, which is the only underwhelming aspect of R so far (for me!) One thing I'm not looking forward to though, is adding back in Taka uniqueness into the command lists! What a pain that was! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    I'm interested to see if Jean has any special blocking ability as was shown in the original R teaser vid. There was a sequence against Jacky where he would perform a series of karate style blocks. Or maybe it was just an animation for "show"? Looking at the flyer though, he has a lot of charge attacks and the ability to cancel from charge as well, which look interesting on paper.

    Here are some images Shou took. The first two show the new low wall throw, while the third shows Blaze's wall jump (which you've seen in vids anyway).
