    Is it just MC 666p, I want to see what normal 666p does. They said they are beefing up his single strike attacks, and I want to see NH get some loving. I wonder how 66p changed though... it is listed as one of the moves with altered properties. How could would that freakin be, if it had ADVANTAGE! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

    dude w/e i've never seen you do that shit outside of training mode. ill reserve judgment until I play it or get more info but that kind of sucks.

    some of the new Goh stuff sounds cool though.

    Reversals damage should be increased in general and especially for some characters. More incentives to do reversals would lead to more yomi and that can't be a bad thing.

    yeah on paper, sure, but for us noobs and casuals its hard enough to spot the counter hit for the knee itself, much less get the 33p out...

    regardless of the usage out of counter hit knee, its a good move over all imo... i dont care if the inputs change, i just hope they keep the two hit in there.

    all good.. the pkp thing intrigues me..

    /you should realise that reversals in VF are Nothing like the ones in DOA.
    - Every doa character has em (and a plenty few of em can even juggle out of em/izuna throw)
    - Each of em do an incredible amount of damage (up to 150%!)
    - Reverals are used to get out of stuns

    VF reverals on the other hand
    - Only a few characters have em (from the top of my head: Akira, Aoi, Pai, Vane (aside from her stance?) and lei fei has his stance)
    - Are limited in what they can reverse (double handed attacks are only aoi reversable for example)
    - Do like 30-40 damage at best
    - Can not be used when in stuns and guarenteed strings etc etc.
    - will lead to a counter hit (and thus major damage in a lot of cases) when failed

    So yeah, it wouldn't hurt a lot to buff reverals a bit in general (more so for aoi :p ). Plus it looks plenty cool in battle.

    There is also a problem of reversals being SO easy to pull off in DOA and not being move specific (it's just for two different levels of attacks, whilst the VF ones are class specific). I guess that's why they have those sudden camera changes, maybe because the interaction between models is not as strict as it is in VF
    I don't want reversals to have a 20 frame window, I like them to be tight and difficult to nail. They should just do more damage so that people would try and use them more often.

    Thanks to Makatiel and Sudden_Death for the info, and thanks Myke for the vids! I must say this really looks interesting enough to make me *really* want to get my hands on the game... I was kinda indifferent before these last details came out, I guess it's because of many disappointments w/video games lately that I forgot that AM2 always delivers* /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif !

    I'm actually glad Goh lost hayabusa - I'm a casual player, and the easy 71 pts of damage was making me even lazier, more incentive to learn my character isn't bad! And now I hear he has a new way into Tsukami, a hit-throw AND a headbutt??? Oooh boy /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif .

    Of course, being me, I would really like to know what his new throws are (judo-wise)... Never really liked tachidori all that much, looked cool but it isn't something that is done in judo and I felt his strongest throw should be more... Well, more familiar I guess? I really hope for some vid... Or just an info would be cool!

    Who knows: maybe the new /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif does the very same thing anyway?

    But "on paper" becomes the norm if practiced enough; like at most 30 minutes a day. Anything worthwhile requires a lot of effort and patience... I mean, people don't evolve out of "scrubs" without work (which I haven't put in either :\).

Very excited to see the new stuff, and how the wall moves work. Off the wall, I saw him to a mid punch NH flop, along with his drop kick foot crumple. EXCITING.

    Unfortunately, I'm not aware of an easy way to move a single post in a topic without moving all of the (on-topic) replies as well . .. if another mod can, please do.

    VF5 reversals do damage proportional to the attack reversed, so the max for vanessas reversals is more like 70 points of damage.
    Counter hits do damage proportional to the attack interrupted, so inashi and low-damage reversals (pai, aoi's tenchi) don't incur much of a penalty at all for getting counter hit. The real problem is getting launched in general by guessing wrong, not the damage bonus

    Which DOA are you talking about? I havent played them in a long time, but afaik doa2 had 3 levels of reversal, and doa4 had 4 (mid kicks as its own level, lol). Pai's inashi have a 16 frame window, that's close enough to 20 frames.

    Also, afaik, command throws in DOA are inescapable, so to a certain extent the game degenerates to baiting reversals so you can throw. This isnt yomi, this is just flipping a coin. VF throws are escapable, so aoi can do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif (mash throw escape) and have a ~12 frame window to stop most of your attacks and still stop most of your throws. Pai can do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (mash throw escape) and similarly do the same, with an even bigger window, at the expense of getting hit by highs. What's difficult about this? Reversals don't need a damage beef, they should stay where they are, namely a risky way of stopping predictable oppoonents and / or strings.

    Like Tony mention....No one is talking about EL BLAZE WALL MOVES. I notice he has a new RD move, a knee. and a mid punch to elbow link. El Blaze got hooked up in this version. I hope he could do some throws from of the wall. And, instead of suplexing Taka, El Blaze fisherman DDT he's candy ASS! Did anyone else notice Wolf did a burning hammer without implementing the hit first?

    I'm assuming either he has a new hit throw from it (it happened in Final Tuned with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif) or it's gone completely. I reckon the Burning Hammer is his new 270 forward throw (as from the look of the flyers in the first page, KS has gone).
