VF5:R Location Test Report!

    I know not many people care about the single player mode but something I think is interesting about Jean is that he will force the developers to change the AI. As the character is based around charge moves, the AI will need to quit evading any charge move performed. In VF5 unless you manage to catch the AI while stringing with a counter hit charge attack it will evade 100% of the time. If this was still the case in VF5R then Jean would be almost completely useless in the single player game.

    Kids at christmas want to sample their presents before receiving them, they don't hold back for a better surprised on Christmas day. So I think it's the exact opposite.

    Hey thanks for the vids. Any one notice some extra animation right before the round starts with the chars arms/legs? I noticed it on the Jean Vid and Sarah vs Akira Vid. I don't recall seeing this on previous versions.

    I'm just wondering though, if it's just changing damage...would they list it on that page? It seems like a bigger change than just damage... I dunno, guess we'll just have to wait for a Vanessa vid.

    Definitely noticed that too. Wonder if its her changes or this guy's style of play matched with what the Taka player was letting Shou get away with lol.

    I guess Goh is no longer for the lazy in this version. I see it as a fair-trade off (unless they change it back). A 17 frame mid that's safe from guaranteed punishment that leads to a retardedly easy 71 damage in either stance regardless of character? Come on...

    Nothing other than notation and hit level was anything else shared...

    What's with Aoi's 6ppg(moonspeak here)p string? A move cancel with a follow up? Also, P+K (Hirate, or as I like to call it, the Bitch slap) is a mid now? Or did they completely ditched the hirate 123 string for something else?
    Would personally love to see some more damage from Aoi's reversal though. As it is, it's high risk, low reward unfortunatly.

    Aoi's damage will inevitably increase though (I mean, everyone's will lol, but her damage especially) with the additional damage on the mC throws. Come to think of it, grapplers in general will be even more scary =Q lol. I like it though, it's gona force me to think even more.

    This might have been obvious to others but I think their reasoning for the mC throw damage is to encourage players to punish with throws more rather than just go for guaranteed hits, making throw breaks more useful off of blocked moves.

    Thanks for posting those vids, Myke, how come nobody is talking about one of the best additions to one of the coolest characters in the game?
    EL BLAZE HAS WALL ATTACKS NOW!
    Me, along with others, always wondered why El Blaze, being a luchador, did not have any wall attacks. That's one of the things luchadores do best is attacks jumping off of stuff.

    It looks like El Blaze has more than one wall attack and different ways of jumping off the wall, if this is so, I just might have to seriously pick up El Blaze now. Wall attacks FTW!
    (Lol, Ok, now I'm starting to sound as fanboyishly crazy as Big L [yall know who])

    I'm talking about his movement around, his overall style, and his reaction (could be he was just fooling around and trying to see where the new moves would come into play). Kind of made me wonder if it was really Joseph or a mistake.

    Well, it's good now that walls break, since Taka's wall attack will literally be an attack on the wall...
