EDIT: Now it does, and that list sure doesnt contain all the changes.. Would be somewhat funny if every character had exactly 5 changes and Shou has already listed like 3 times more for just Sarah.

I hope with all of the idle animation changes that they change Brad's stance to a more traditional Muay Thai stance and give him some cool animations like him fixing his hair before the match starts and dusting off his shoulders after a K.O. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I think its you, in my eyes Taka hasnt changed even if his animations may have. Maybe he is just less...blocky. The other characters have propably changed more since then.

It's not a particularly great move, so I don't know why they would highlight that one...unless they changed something /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

 

I certainly noticed Pai's new attack from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. She's slowly turning into Lau!

Even then, if they added a full circular that'd be over kill, but then again: I've never met a bigger group of whiners than Akira players (except Plague).

Of course they changed it: it is on the list. Maybe it's easier to combo after it, give different hit properties, speed, etc. (speculation; don't go off on a tangent)

I find it strange that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif's twin, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is a mid attack or something, so the age old setup of HCT (high catch throw) and KD-Mid (knockdown mid) is gone.

Though I think it is safe to assume that with a new sideturned system: Vanessa (at least DS) got more attacks that lead to it (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif work, but seem iffy)

 

There are several places in that Pai vs Sarah match where you can clearly see that simply guarding won't automatically align you towards your opponent. Actively sideguarding could definitely be a new form of guessing game in VF if it works like it has potential to.

 

Where in that list is Sarahs new knee from flamingo which you can see in the vid above

the (blabla) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is the rising knee combo which is changed to While rising KK now I guess.

edit: just saying that I dont trust that list to show everything, therefore saying that something isnt added because its not on that list is kinda silly

 

Dude, compare VF3 vids with VF5R vids. Taka is less plumped and more pumped. He's leaner and meaner, I tell ya. Looks like he lost about 50-75 pounds. I don't know how much that is in polygons XD
but you can clearly see more muscle and less fat (seriously)

I'm just saying: I'm withholding my judgment on the idea of AM2 adding an attack, which there is no evidence for (yet?), that would defy the concept behind Bajiquan. Wavy, circular motions are for other Chinese styles.

And besides, Akira has one of the best striking games in the series. If you can no longer be safe while stepping, that would remove one of the things that balances him out.

Seriously, not being a "one-trick-pony" <span style='font-size: 8pt'>(as most of the NorCal folks jokingly called themselves at the last meet in February when I was play Katsudon with Aoi on the small TV [I need to be specific or otherwise someone will call me out]) </span>... lemme start over, not being a "one-trick-pony" has it's advantages: You get an understanding of several characters. You then can compared strengths and weaknesses of multiple characters and then, if you're semi-objective enough, you'll come to a conclusion of "VF is pretty f-in balanced."

Akira never had a Sweep or full-circular _B-E-C-A-U-S-E_H-E_D-O-E-S-N-'-T_N-E-E-D_I-T_A-N-D_H-A-S_A_S-H-I-T_L-O-A-D_O-F_T-H-I-N-G-S_I-N_I-T-'-S_P-L-A-C-E_
