    Regarding Sarah's "nerfs", doesn't she already have two attacks that deal with lows? FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is particularly good in range and does 21 pts (which means wall stagger into crumple time).

    Then there's the FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif low punch sabaki.

    If the above are still retained, then crying foul over the removal of one (of a few) Flamingo anti-lows comes across as sour grapes! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    Let's not forget:

    *Shou's main is Sarah; if they were to touch something I relied with X character I'd be pissed too, but the game has been changed for pretty much everyone. A player at Shou's level will adapt regardless (Ahem, Vanessa using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b_.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif).
    *Yeah, the things seem like nerfs, but a context within other nerfings of other characters isn't given.
    *THIS IS A LOCATION TEST (or am I completely wrong?), anything and everything is still subject to change.

    I think people are reading far too much into this Sarah "weakening". Not only is this an early test, but people haven't even nearly tried out all of her moves to see which ones have been strengthened. Sega are not stupid, if her Flamingo cannot pressure opponents as well, then it will be used differently. As Makatiel said, she has a new 2-hit launcher for big combos from Flamingo, maybe the stance is more like a one-off for big moves rather than a constant flurry of attacks.

    I love using the Flamingo to pressure opponents, but now I may have to learn how to use the stance in different situations, big deal.

    Its not merely low attacks, its the SPEED. FL K was 14 frames. combined with the advantage she gains from her flamingo starters and the ability to stuff lows with it, it is the most important attack out of flamingo. For example /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (blocked = +4) -> FL K = essentially uninterruptible in VF5. That was the foundation of the pressure.

    Because opponent was forced on the defensive, she could do all the offensive guessing games from there when opponent was blocking/evading/whatever to deal with the FL K. The other attacks of flamingo, sure they deal with SOMETHING but they all guessing games where Sarah is the one forced to guess. Opponent will have the initiative in extremely clear-cut fashion after Sarah enters flamingo.

    Not to mention that FL P was the MAIN way to EXIT flamingo without giving free damage to the opponent. Massive amount of opponents options after blocked flamingostarters could be dleath with simply FL P~G something. Its so quick opponent wont get any punishments if its evaded, its +2 on block, etc etc. FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, Gone now. All of it.

    If only someone told what NEW has she gained since so far im not hearing anything comparable to these HUGE nerfs.

    That's not a stomp, that's Taka's special stomp which he can do whenever he wants (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif) - it does hit grounded opponents but it is also just a regular attack, and the fact it didn't connect proves that stomping KO'd opponents has gone (which is great news).

    anyone notice any changes in eileen overall? I saw she got some new/changed commands. It looks like she got an extra hit after her old full circle 214PP now with another P. also has a 4P+K K now which I wonder what that kick level is. 236K+G and 214K+G both make me happy to see look like new cancellation technique to me !

    How to read Kanji for Hit-levels.

    HIGH, Upside down "T" with a little snag on the right side. LOW, is the opposite, the snag is still on the right, but hangs diagonal.

    MID is a rectangle with a vertical line running through it.

    Whoever posted those videos of the testing event, thanks for sharing it to all of us. When the arcade testing was announce, I had a feeling Taka players must had practiced really hard with him since he was not featured in any installment after VF3. I can understand the player on using Jean since he is obviously a new fighter to the series. I hope we can see more videos of Jean since that video is the only one available this far.[/size]

    cmon guys, other stances just them standing there they sabaki P or P and 2P just straight up whiffs, let alone the moves their moves that already avoid those attacks too.

    It's cool though, if the game ever gets a console release I'll still be using Sarah. And furthermore there's probably some other cool properties, safety, or speedy things that can make up for this removal of signature pressure.

    Come on. I like Sarah too, and yes FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif kicks ass (now), but I'm sensing the inverse "omg Kage is too powerful"-complex: I dub it "OMG I'M POWERLESS NOW"-complex (VANESSA MACHI NOOOOOO!!).

    In most instances when entering FL, you have advantage (even on block!), This make /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, regardless of being just highs, fast attacks that will beat just anything (except reversal/inashi/sabaki, but this has always been the case so why complain about it now?). Now (unless it gets changed), /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif no longer covers low attacks. FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif clears over with ease, but attacks beat it! You then forget about her other attacks because something stands in the way of what you're comfortable with.

    I agree, yes, this does suck for Sarah players and will make to have to think even harder than they do than most of the other players. <span style='font-size: 8pt'>(yes, sarah players are among the smartest players from what I've seen) </span>

    But you still have options, just not one the simplifies (almost) everything anymore (unless it gets changed again). So don't complain if you can't adapt (in a game that we might never get to play anyway), because you and anyone else isn't forced to play their character (unless you promised to do a wiki write-up :\).

    On the other hand, I didnt notice many non-VF3 moves used by Taka :p

    About Sarah: Im extremely pissed just because why take away something that was working great. I reckon thre were enough REAL problems to fix..

    Why not fix Sarah's STEP stance which is currently GARBAGE.

    I thought her 'signature' pressure was the justification for her being weaker than other characters. Weaker combo damage, weaker single moves, weaker guessing games, etc etc. Main weapon is still a stance where she cant block...
