specific arcade? im not sure, but this is what i did and it worked most of the time!!!!

i play with all characters so i made profiles for all characters. went into vs mode (with profile) and had a record of 7 losses and 6 wins. save your game!!! enter quest mode with that profile and choose the most right-bottom arcade (believe its the highly skilled arcade) and win against the highest ranked opponent. after that exit the next fight and the balloon should come up most of the time. if it doesn't, exist game and try again...

the balloon is triggered by the last digit of both wins and losses. that digit should by 7 for the highest probalility for the balloon to show up. (7 - 7 or 37 - 47 or 107 - 17, etc.)

not for the item matches to happen. the balloon needs to be flying OVER the arcade that you wish to fight at, but not any specific arcade.

If you see the balloon, any arcade you pick will yeild 10 matches with chests.

I have a Conqueror Akira. My rank bar stopped moving after I was awarded that last ranking. If your bar is actually filling, please share what you're doing to make it happen.

the gauge gradually seemed to fill while I was trying to get character emblems from the other conqueror's at the sega world south arcade...here are my stats if it will help

meter is around 65-70% full.
w:915 l:14
win ratio:98.48%
players defeated 65.1%
items collected 81.3
emblems collected 70.6%
all official tournaments completed

That's interesting. If you're not sure it's happening, chck to see if your gauge flashes right before a fight. If it doesn't flash, it's likely that it won't move. I never saw a flash when fighting another Conqueror.

Note about ranks - I scored Conqueror via the stated methods: I achieved the highest rank possible while having an 80%+ win streak. Then YOSUKE[/size] stayed at my house and I lost hundreds of games over a 2.5 week period. My stats are about 2001 wins/1104 losses - the percentage is around 63%. The Conqueror rank stayed.

It would be kewl, if after having achieved the highest rank in the game you could select any of the ranks as your permanent screen rank. I'd like to stay at sifu or 1rst dan for VS matches. Having "conqueror" up there kinda blows somethings /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

currently all conqueror matches are now completed...unless dural is being used in quest?

challenged a berserker and scored a perfect in the first round of a match and thought I saw the gauge meter appear quickly (right after the KO, before the replay) as if it were being filled. I've tried a few times to recapture a perfect 1st round in a few high ranked matches to see if my eyes were fooling me, but have been currently unsuccessfull.

I can't 100% say if the gauge is still filling after matches. It appears so quickly that I hardly have enough time to see if anything is happening. It looks like a line flashes, but the eyes could be fooling me. How full is your conqueror gauge?

Looks like around 70%.

The flash on the rank bar happens at the beginning and the end of a fight. I found the beginning flash easy to see. It's duration isn't related to your rank or what's at risk. The flash duration at the end, however, does seem to be related to how much progress you gain or lose. Try starting a new Quest character and watching your bar.

 

I know you recieve gold for losing matches (and more gold for a bigger win streak), but do you recieve the gold if you leave an arcade?

I always gain a massive streak on the early arcades and waste all the Gold as there is no one capable of beating me and I have to quit the arcade. Would I still recieve the Gold?

PS: I know I could lose on purpose but I don't want to affect my win record.

Well I've just found out myself. What a silly oversight getting money for losing is. I was just on a win streak with Jeffry and I had nothing to show for it gold wise. I was in the advanced arcade (the one furthest right) and no one posed a slight challenge and I was forced to just quit the arcade. Why couldn't Gold just rack up as you won matches, multiplying with a streak?

BTW - I always play quest mode on Hard - is there an advantage to this (other than making it a bit less of a cake walk).

i know it may seem out of place but can you tell me how to get black outfits? is it like evo, 100 losts, i plan on get my ps3 at the begining of next month. hehe better late then never.

 

No, black costume parts are just normal items. Depends on the item where you get it, some can be bought from the shop, some may be tourney prizes or random chest items. I havent really kept track.
Basically most of the items are just different colored variations of the clothes.

Started a new quest with lau and I see the gauge filling. Seems like the akira one is going nowhere compared to lau's meter.

Kind of confused as to why a gauge would be needed at conqueror status if it can't be filled completely or don't lose conqueror status if you go below 80% wins.

Would have been nice to have known of the balloon trick while using akira. I've already unlocked 40+% items (lau) without making any purchases and am only at 7th dan.

hi guys my first post here but i have been checking the forum for months , ok here is my question, i have just got the game and when i am in quest mode can you tell me this, when i am on a winning streak of lets say 25 wins and then a box comes up asking if i want to do a tournament and it says if so my winning streak will be reset so that means back to 0 ?, so i decide to carry on does that then mean that i never get to play in that tournament i was just offered again ? or should i except every tournament i am offered even thou it means looseing my winning streak, can someone confirm that for me and if thats right can i still complete 100% with that character profile, thx guys
