VF5 Quest Mode tips

Well I got 100% everything with Vane today, nothing happened. If something extra does pop up, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

 

Wow, you got there before me. Anyways, thats a real bummer that you get nothing special for %100 everything. I guess I am on my way to do some real practice now. I have been cheesing the AI just to complete the quest and not really focusing on getting better at playing. Did you try to see if the levels settings was able to be changed to very hard? Did you access the shop? I remember I got the emblems after I accessed the emblems menu. I hear ya about being tired, I was sick of it last night, the CPU gets boring after a while.

 

I did check out the shop, but didn't see anything new. I'll do a bit more testing tomorrow, but for right now I'm pretty tired of VF5...

 

by using chiefgutti's player list and checking up japanese full player's list, i made a rank sys chart.

so after 10th dan is will go like this...

if ur win% <70%
皆伝→巧者→名人→名将→拳王→拳聖→皇帝→拳神
Master->Defender->Enforcer->Sentinel->Portector->Guardian->Paladin->Liberator

ur win% between 70%-80%
皆伝→強者→達人→闘将→闘王→闘聖→大帝→闘神
Master->Hunter->Raider->Barbarian->Assassin->Slayer->Berserker->Destoryer

ur win% >80%
皆伝→猛者→鉄人→武将→武王→武聖→天帝→武神
Master->warrior->veteran->gladiator->vindicator->avenger->vanquisher->Conqueror

Yea theres a scene in CO. I had a few players over this weekend, in fact. And last weekend my house was FULL of new VF recruits. I didn't say I was tired of playing VF forever, just for tonight. 8 straight hours of VF can do that to ya /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

 

Thanks for creating this ogi, because I was always curious why I didn't go through or see the other ranks. Now I can clearly see it was due to my %.

 

Just a quick question. I'm wondering if there is a particular reason why I'm not gaining any EXP? I'm ranked master and have gained nothing from veterans, gladiators, avengers and warriors, all ranks above mine. Do you need to have consecutive wins, or something else? It's pretty frustrating. Thanks for the help.

 

at master level you need to fight 10th dans. every fight will be a ranking match which will demote you if you lose. I think you only need 3 or 4 wins with that. afterwards you want to fight players 2 up or 2 down from your level.

 

Its 5 wins in a row against 10th dans to rank up from master.

I've also noticed that in the dan ranks, you only get xp from opponents who are within 2 ranks of you. For example if you're a 4th dan, you'll get xp from 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th dans. You get the most xp from opponents of your same rank.

 

I've had 10 game winning streaks at acrades, lost, then recieved no gold at all or sometimes just 50g. What gives?

 

I'm not sure, but its happened to me too. It seems like the only time you always get money for losing is in VS, or if you lose in quest but don't have any win streak.

 

Wow, is it me or does Kage have a ton of items to buy? I was doing the auto-punch cheat and got about 300,000 gold and still have a ton of items to buy.

 

Few questions about the Conqueror rank. It is the last achievable rank, correct? I noticed it started me at half bar, but it seems all of the ranks I've fought after don't move the bar - up or down. Is it possible to max the bar, even if there is nowhere else to go? And are there ranks that can de-rank Conqueror? Thanks for the help and sorry for all the questions, just wanted some clarification on how it worked.

Also, anyone know where to get Pai's (Costume B) Pink top and pants?

 

hmm for your auto cheat punch, what do u use to put onto ur punch button so that it keeps punching? lol

Says re:YamaMX, but I assume this wasn't for me...

 

All you do is, hold down the turbo button and then press the punch button 2 times. Then hold down the turbo button and press the X button 2 times. Auto-Punch will be set for your punch and "fight again" rematch option. You need a Hori arcade stick to do this, I am not sure how other turbo controllers work.

Conqueror is the last rank and best possible rank to have. It is not possible to move the experience bar to full after you get the Conqueror rank. As far as the de-rank goes I am not sure but I doubt its possible.

 

Ok another dumb Question. How do you complete an arcade? I won the local tournament (Sega Downtown the 1st arcade)

How many challengers do you have to beat to be considerd the best player on a machine?

 

From the home menu you can select "status", and from there select "player list". That will give you a complete list of all players in an arcade. Completing an arcade means beating all players in it. So once an arcade list is full AND has stars next to every name, you've completed it.

 

How many items can Kage get ?
Is it possible to get orange hair ? as you can do with Akira ?
Anybody seen "forehead protector" for Kage ?
