I'd have to commend akiralove for this suggestions -- they really are detailed and well thought through. Personally, I don't think I'm the kind of person that would appreciate all of those features since I'm a purist at heart. But I can see it enriching the home experience, and if that helps improve VF's popularity for the better then I'm all for it, even if it was directed to the Japanese market. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

In terms of what I'd like to see on the home port -- basically I would welcome anything that would ultimately enable me to become a better player. Particularly more options in the free training mode that lets me explore more complex situations. Some examples:

I'd like the guard menu with predefined responses expanded. Some have asked for the entire movelist to be available, which would be OK with me. But even better I think would be just one additional option under the Guard menu called "Playback". This would be the same as the global Playback menu where you can choose from your recorded Actions at the varying frequencies, except the playback will only occur after the CPU Guards. This would enable you to practice defence against things like [P]-mid or [P]-throw at 50% each -- much more complex than the current Guard response menu.

Also, during a Recording in Free Training, where I'm in control of the CPU, instead of my character standing there like a dummy, I'd like it to behave as per the settings I've set for the CPU. This helps when you're recording actions that are timing specific. For example I'd like to record Akira doing a knockdown hit followed by [4][6][P]+[K] against a tech roll. Then I'd play it back, let Akira knock me down then defend against the [4][6][P]+[K]. However, in Evo you currently cannot do this since during the recording, when you knock down your character, it won't tech roll, so it's hard to time it perfectly.

I'd like to add to that by including a frame setting for how much delay there is after the guard before the CPU attacks. This would elminate the need for some of the recording setup required for some situations.

The return of trained AI you can have learn to fight like you in VF 4. I loved that idea and that fact you could encourage or discourage certain moves as well meant that they would stick with the moves that you recommended for them. Aside from that what I see in the videos are more then enough to convince me this will be the best game ever. The lack of online play isn't too bad of a lose, the one player mode is will be as good as playing online anyway so it don't matter to me. I just hope they find a way to incorporate it at some point later on to see how good the best home players really are, egos might get hurt but at least they will know where they stand. They won't have to go to the best competitions all over the nationwide either they will be playing those masters at home online

I'd play vf3 all over. </div></div>

My words, my words!

It would be a real mess 2 "face" f.e. an VF Sensei like "CHIBITA" - even if it would be just online...

Now my 50 cent:

Beside the mentioned things, I would prefer as well

- the option to able/disable the music, or - thanks to HDD - add your ouwn music in the fights.

Sorry SEGA, but 80-ties rockstyle music is not really a "burner" in a 2k7 fighting game, especially in an chinese/japanese/caribbean setting of the fighting arena.

For VF5 its to late, but for VF6 it would be great to integrate

- the option to choose between weapon and "karate"-style!
Imagine Last BronX + Virtua Fighter sleep 2gether... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

- the return of A.I mode

- the return of uneven stages, like in VF3

- multiplattform stages, like in DOA

- character editor

Anyway, beside this game(play) related wishes, there is as well the wish 4 the series to become a comercial succes and get the appreciation it deserves as an pioner, not just in the beat`em up genre, but also in videogames in general.

dude what are you saying?!!!.... VF5 has one of the best musics i ever heard in a fighting game, except for few of them. i totally disagree and hope VF6 has the same kind of music to be honest.

Konichiwa Zakira,

oops, just 2 clear it up:
I guess this is a lill missunderstanding.
The question was,"VF5 on PS3 - what you'd like to see for next-gen?".
I cannot judge the VF5 music so far and refered to the VF4 and VF4 evo music stuff...

Ok, from a few videos I`ve seen in 5.1 Sound, I must agree with U, that VF5 promises good music and sound-effects.

The video-game-arcade-market is sadly gone down the beach in Germany.
Oh, how I envy U lucky nippon-jin with all the great arcades and fighting-game-comunity...

Sayonara,
SenseiSD.
