I had a dream last night that i was riding in the trailer of an large truck that was carrying two vf5 cabinets to our local arcade.

Maybe high moves whiff early in the stagger. This is actually true for VF4, but the stagger has to be heavy and there can be very little/no struggling. Maybe they increased the window for that.

Also he could just use his new 6P6P string.

Some of these stages are really beautiful, it's sad that I'll have to look at them from inside a cage for the next 5 years. Doesn't it seem strange? A gorgeous landscape, and in the middle of it a totally square cage?

At this point, with 17 characters + Dural in the game, there should be 18 stages. Why can't they have, say, 10 classical VF1/2/4 stages, and 8 VF3 style stages, to please everyone? They could have something like "hit during random select to choose only square stages, to choose a VF3 style stage". Even if they're all flat, some variable shapes... can I have a Round cage? Doesn't seem like it'd hurt anything. If I'm gonna be in a cage, I'd almost rather just see some interesting Stone walls or something, as opposed to being tortured with a jaw dropping landscape setting like Wolf's new stage, which I can't really play in at all, and have to see through chicken-wire.

Post VF3, VF has gone from having the best stages in any 3-D fighting game to having the worst, with regards to variety and interactivity. I don't need monkeys, dinosaurs or smashing things. But I'm not a parakeet either. Let us out of the cage!

Akiralove: Yeah, the biggest problem isn't the cages themselves but how they seem so out of context. Cage in VF or the early VF5 pics cage seemed ok but just having a beutiful summer or snowlandscape and putting a fat cage in seems really wrong. I wish half limiting cages / walls (2 sides) could come back. I also hope that there's a plunge when you fall into the water on Shuns stage...

But all in all I'm happy about the new stages (like Aurora which feels very SNK like to me or Shuns stage), they're definatly a step up from Evo/FT imo and will probably help getting the attention of new gamers. Maybe revised VF4 stages or something like that will be found on the console release if one gets lucky. Atleast it's a step in the right direction again.

Obviously no one knows whats going on yet. Seriously think about it before posting inane questions that no one has 100% answers to. Its not the first time you've done it, hence the response. I'd figure with you being on VFDC so long, you'd know better than to post - WHY DIDNT THIS WORK, on a bootleg test build video. Even if there was a proper answer, ITS A BETA!!!. Get over it, nothings finalized yet. I dont know why you're still so anal about everything and need to solve everything with cursing. Grow up man.

Bryan, i think its too late for VF5 for interesting stages. Maybe wait for VF5 Maximum Reloaded? But theres an Eileen kata video coming out soon. The great wall stage really looks nice /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It's a pity about the stages being a little conservative, but at the same time, in the interests of balance I don't want to off of the great wall of china and lose 40% of my health. I assume that there is little/no demand for more creative designs in Japan.

But a circular stage wouldn't be a bad idea... hmmm .. it would be interesting for wall physics.
