No worries most people on here are just theory fighting and haven't played the game either.

OM was awesome. it allowed for ring control, avoided throws if you were in small advantage, and for some characters who didn't have a great way to punish low punches OM-P was an excellent option. it seemed random in its success to a lot of people but that wasn't the moves fault.

I recorded all my OM tests with Jacky a while back. They're consistant at +2 and +4 which is what I tested. I imagine they'd be the same at every other advantage.

Tested +2 with Wolf and got the same results as I did with Jacky.

So I would think they're probably the same everywhere.

Guys, I thought OM P and K were removed, but OM (2 or 8 PGK) was still in place? did I miss something?

OM remains but without the built in attack options.

    What the hell?

    Evading nothing?

Reminds me of when I saw someone evade a backdash.

It seemed more like you could still evade during the recovery frames. Is that what this is? Instead of using recovery frames for your direct advantage, you can now use them to evade, and possibly end up on the opponent's side (close range) or change the axis a bit (long range).

That's just a theory... (the third time the Lion player tried to evade, a bit later, it was failed evade).

Both 1K? It becomes and different move and launches on CH?

It looks like it's just on a backdash CH as opposed to a normal CH.

Quite a mad thing to have to check.

The Back Dash CH is weird, as the video demonstrates that it has properties somewhere in between a Normal hit and Counter hit.

In Brad's case, Sway Back [K][+][G] on a Back Dash CH you get the foot crumple (as per CH), but without the "bring it on" fist bump animation (as per NH). This frees Brad up for a guaranteed followup, such as a heavy down attack. This is a bonus for Brad.

But in Lion's case, his [1][K] during Back Dash CH doesn't get him squat. He yells out a simple "huh" (as per NH) instead of the infinitely cooler "huh-yawww!" (as per CH). But worse still is that it results in the same shitty non-followupable (is that a word?) float as per NH. This sucks for Lion.

Lion's case looks like reasonable, good to see he is reduced a little bit

So the frame situation/height of the float remains as per NH. Additional hit effects (stuns) remain as per CH.
And that's still just guessing, since we have 2 moves only here.
Other good moves to test it would be:
Wolf's [6][2][K] - should be foot crumple animation on backdash
Jeffry's [4][6][6][P]+[K] should float as per NH
Now, I wonder about the moves that float on CH. Would Wolf's HCB+[P] float on backdash?

Meh, enough of this guessing, bleh :p
It's best to wait for the official confirmation or until someone tests it (Reno? xD )

SRK has a front page news story on VF5 FS Revision 1 changes, however it attributes the source to being the IMNEXTONLINE website. When you visit that website, the author of the article has directly copied Reno's post verbatim.

It would be cool if SRK actually attributed the proper source.

I attempted to post a comment to point out this fact, but my message doesn't appear. Anyone know what's up with that? Are comments moderated?

heh, I just saw this after commenting on IMNEXT's site. I do wish I could delete my comment because even before I saw this I missed their VFDC credit. but oh well.
