    IT should'nt be then. That would be the insane. The basically DOA'd the game with these methods.

    Right Dennis so if you don't land the crouching grab the punishment for the whiff is to get caught with a P+G since and 3P+G throw is null with Non-crouch grab characters.

    If I understood your question right you wonder: if i was going for a lowthrow but the opponent was standing will the game correct it to a normal throw. No, you will still get the lowthrow animation from what I could tell.

    Imagine if lazy throw escape still works in FS.
    Easy way to end up on both 4 and 6.

    Hopefully we can have some footages asap!!

    I disagree, the game is far from being DOA'd, simply because the engine always lends itself to leaving and extending far from surface layers.

    If it's easier now, to cover a percentage of throws in an ETEG, that still doesn't wipe out the actual ETEG choice and it's wide open weaknesses. Instead, all this does is make the point easier to reach, by a wider audience. I think this makes the game more accessible, while at the same time not deteriorating the layers involved.

    If someone in vanilla 5 could triple or quadruple throw escape in an ETEG, they can and would still lose the exact same way, as picking the wrong choice of ETEG, when the opponent reads that's what will be done.

    With that said though, we all don't know if the game will allow you to even escape every single throw input at once this time. And also, I'm not saying I disagree with the possibility of it being easier in execution, to escape a larger percentage of possible throws either. -> sometimes I really like execution walls, it's rewarding when you can reach certain points.

    I don't even know.

    I will say that I'm all for everyone having a more accessible chance to getting to the meat of the game though, than previously. Even putting my own execution and hitchecking pride aside. When you and your opponent can both get to the meat of the game, the shit is too fun, because VF then leaves the surface layer 100% of the time, and becomes this twisted addictive mental game.

    EDIT:^ I think that's what they are doing as well. Making it easier for people to get to the meat of the game where all the mindgames are involved.

    Kage's intro music is new.
    El Blaze's intro music is new and from the trailer.
    I don't like the new announcer at all.
    New sound effects for moves. The 2P sound is awkward as hell, anyone recognize it? It is a very old effect, used in games as old as Dink Smallwood for example. Pretty lazy if you ask me.
    Camera is zoomed out compared to 5R versions B and C. I hope that Sega zooms the camera back in again. I don't know why they would zoom the camera back out again but whatever.
    When Kage gets the wall splat in the first round you can see the new 'dramatic' camera. Seems distracting possibly. Maybe I'll have to warm up to it.

    Console announcement please.

    one thing I noticed in that Lion mirror match is that depending on open/closed stance, the fall animation is different.

    Notes:
    Taka has a new intro pose in this vid. In the game apparently everyone has at least one new intro pose.

    Jacky's stage is no longer four cage walls... it looks like one solid wall plus three caged walls. Perhaps the cage can crumble? Who knows.

    Nice spot. Really hope that means the return of importance on spotting stance for combos.

    Loving that we have the frame counters on replays for local test stuff.
