No erdraug makes perfect sense. I think he means what he wrote Manji. The lack of clash will make a lot of things stronger.

Well we all know online can alter some punishment times. I understand The Bodycheck to Akira is The phoenix smasher to Paul.

Trust me im not mad at all it just baffles me a little thats all.
I hope Jacky still has has his combo's from R. Now that the game officially out make i can see the upper tier Jackys attempt these. After all beatknuckle was netting 81 damage and groind kicks was 78. thats a lot.

All those multiple iageri combos were sexy as fuck. Haven't seen many so far in FS but it's sti ll early bells.

Give it a month or two and most of the max damage shit will be sussed.

Not a Tekken head but isn't Pheonix smasher easier to implement?

In the majority of nitaku situations the pushback produced by blocking a move will create a distance where bodycheck won't do it's maximum damage. The only situations I've seen so far of bodycheck doing more then half life have been situations where he has succesfully evaded and got it to CH evade or where the opponent has moved in to point blank range on Akira.

People should be more worried about yoho damage, I think I saw it do 109 in some vid.

Thats what im dying to see. Atleast that way i can understand that higher risk is high damage with jacky. Too bad they nerfed the advantage frame on block.

@WorstPlayer - The phoenix smash took time to do because of the Fireball motion execution in Tekken games. That move had to be buffered alot also.

but not nearly as punishable from what I remember it had mad pushback. I always saw Akiras single palm more of a pheonix smasher granted it does MUCH less damage than VF1.

Akira blocks a move that brings in nitaku on guard, he's out of range. That's only half of it though right?

Will any Counter Strike into nitaku, take Akira out of ideal range to deal Half Life? Have you blown a Valve dude?

But seriously, wouldnt landing a jab deep leave him in ideal range to do enough to where CH jab + CH bodycheck = half?

Just nitaku itself creates the forced choice where CH of slower moves are more likely.

And lastly I'd be pretty much worried about both moves.

At Current moment im Worried about HIM!!! Period. Yoho is the lesser of 2 evils because an opponent can miss a combo so its no guarantee he'll net 109.

The bodycheck isn't guaranteed to do 100+ either, yoho is way safer too. I know which move i'd be more worried about...

All this talk of balance is a bit premature anyways, we're only basing our opinion on vids, Akira did some crazy damage in the R vids I watched and he was never top tier in that game.

I thought Akira was top tier in that game. I was even lead to believe he was #1.

I never thought of anything much to 120 body check anyway. I said as soon as I saw it that youhou is just as damaging/more consistent/safer but people seem to just spaz over bodycheck.

The way you all disregard youhou is bullshit anyway. You can't just say "oh well youhou is a launcher so it means you can flop the combo" that's just stupid talk. Also remember the wall carry/ring out potential youhou has which is another plus point for it.

At the moment I'll say the advantage bodycheck has is that it's a back class attack and can't be sabaki'd (unless of course they changed this in FS). But with the way bodycheck is being used that's a pretty irrelevant point.

In both the tier lists I seen for R and from what Kamaage said on the shoutbox Wolf was top tier in R.

Why does it have to be stupid talk Haz? The Fact that people can miss still is a probability. Beside if its you turn to go out the damn ring its your turn. Last i checked there's break away walls too.

Well for a start off there are noob combos for Akira anyway. Moves such as [K][+][G],[P] so decent damage and work regardless of footstance or weight class.

Secondly Akira as a character has emphasis on his execution. Why would you choose to use Akira if you know full well you can't do his combos for shit? You use Jacky right? That's like saying you use Jacky but you can't iageri.

You are right though. You can definitely miss combos. Especially Akira's. I know that I miss my combos occasionally due to lag/I'm tired. For the most part though I have to say I'm pretty damn consistent with my combos.

I've read about the input for Akira's new string he does to bound in combos. It's like [4][K][+][G],[P],[P] or some shit I can't remember exactly. It does a shit ton of damage, bounds, and carries far as hell! The input doesn't sound too difficult to me. I've also not really saw double palm used in combos apart from against the wall or even KNEE. So I'm assuming that Akira's combos in FS are actually pretty easy to do.

AM2 already reduced Akira's DP in R, and probably the only one maximum combo(not wall) requires his DP is 666p>6kp>DP.

Akira is very very friendly now and we shouldn't treat him as a high class character anymore in FS. Personally, I really admire Jacky players since R because Jacky looks like more difficult to manipulate in my view.

Why do you have to go around giving secrets like that Hazz? [IMG]

...i mean, it's a secret isn't it? It's certainly not mentioned in the Akira subforum and all random xbox live akiras do [P][P] or [P][K] for combos (and then give up on VF shortly after).

I dunno maybe Myke should have given me the ability to edit the combo lists.

I would have put shit like !!!NOOB COMBO, DO THIS IF YOU ARE A NOOB!!! for the notes then all the Akira scrub stars would have known, lol.

That's a good point actually. VFDC is a good source of information but sadly the combo lists do have quite some to be desired. If FS does drop I vow to test combos with both Sarah and Akira on every character, NH and CH and footstance. I remember there was a point after I joined VFDC where I tested a load of combos and posted my findings on the Sarah dojo. None of my findings were edited into the combo list though sadly.

Same here. If FS drops over here I plan to contribute as much as I can.
