VF5 Final Showdown Videos

So Brad's stance knee is now able to jump over 2P? That's cool against someone who can do 2P interrupted. Is there any alternative way to deal PK interrupted?

It looks really fricken hard to win with Lei Fei and Pai at high levels. Seems like they lack combo potential and combo starters.. Besides wall combos.

 

^ Yea agreed. Some real good Aoi users on YouTube but Lei is real hard to win with against great great or even good users. U have to work so hard with him just to win a round.

 

The tiers are so thin in this game, I don't think this is going to end up being true.

There was a recent stream I saw where Chief Flash played this very good Lei Fei user (I can remember his name right now) and it looked pretty even. I thought Lei looked pretty tough and, somewhat like Shun, he is confusing to fight against just because he's unpredictable and the time of his attacks can be deceptive.

Lei has so many different ways to attack you as he goes in and out of his stances. He can keep you guessing round after round, showing you different looks to keep you off balance. Obviously, he is going to have some shortcomings, but one of the beautiful aspects of VF is the fact that every character has more than enough tools to handle any situation.

 

Yea I know what you mean Gernburgs. Cause when I watch videos starring Lau, Sarah and Eileen and how many tools they got, the damage potential (mainly with Sarah and Lau) and the combo starter potential they all have. It's wild how low they're rated and further shows teirs don't mean much in VF. Especially at my level. But at the same time I can see why some are rated so high.

But did you see the video Aion posted, and the other related videos? Lei Fei looked like he has such a hard time to get a combo started. I mean against the wall he can do you dirty. But other than that, it looks like you need to make a crap load of right guesses and dang near poke em to death to win.

Even in the other videos where Lei was winning some, it looked like it took a whole lot of work and a whole bunch of right guesses for single hits, since none of the hits could get a combo started. I forget which part it was. But when that Brad player went up against the Lei Fei player, Brad looked like he had no fear at all of Lei. Like Lei had no chance of winning. Maybe he knew the player or something..Who knows.

But it looked the same way with Pai too. Real hard to get combos started. Oddly enough though, the Pai player made it to the finals. But it looked mad hard for him to get there though.

The third Vanessa shown around the 3:06:00 mark. That body... that outfit... man! I prefer to see a darker skin tone on her, but I would gladly let that small gripe of mine pass here.

And that Jeffry who was playing during the last 20 minutes of that video is awesome. He made Jeffry look absolutely menacing anytime he got an opponent near a wall. What he did in round 5 vs. Jacky in El Blaze's octagon was insane.
