    These VF5 Final Showdown Videos are cool!

    But all the strange costumes are a visual turn off...Loin's in a vampire costume, others have snakes around the neck, some kind of floating balloons over heads, glow sticks, crazy clown and cat face paint ect.

    I lose interest fast when I see this stuff..

    The lightning is just a customization Eternal. You don't need to equip it and it's purely cosmetic.

    If you're referring to the flashes too, then those serve as an indicator of the type of hit you've made. For instance, yellow flashes indicate a counter hit.
