VF5 Final Showdown Videos

    Is there stance required to do Jacky's flash kick(KG cancel) during the combos?

    I'm assuming it's still the same where you need to be in a specific stance to maximize damage with his flash kick but I haven't watched enough videos to really check it.

    I hope it's still that way. I enjoy checking stance and it feels like a big reward when I pick a launch in the correct stance!

    I might be wrong but here at 0:53, after 4K+G they are open isn't it? Flash kick is able to kick as well.

    Yo Jacky is doing mad damage. It looks in general for FS you have less chances to be incorrect. Like almost 2.5 average, instead of 3.5

    I love watchin me some Jacky matches.

    I'm kind of thinking there is no stance required to do flash kick during the combos, so Jacky is able to maximum his damage all the time.

    I hope that isn't true, but it probably is. Now it just means people that didn't pay attention to stance, have access to all the combos at just as much consistency as those that did. I don't agree with that at all cause it can strip a bit of layer depth on choosing how much damage you personally have access to doing in a given situation, with the risks of moves involved. But hopefully it's a good design choice that has more players playing, and a bit more fairness overall.

    We'll probably never see though.

    I'm not sure man, but videos above are kind of confusing me and I'll pay attention for next coming Jacky videos.

    Wow Funny how people are just now catching on to Jacky's Damage output.... While some may complain about the damage output. Those are very advanced combos that require preciseness and excellent timing not to mention your Iageri skills better be up to par. I guess you can say just like Sarah of VF5.. Jack has to do alot to get damage being that he's a bit weaker.

    Jacky's damage in open is great. If they changed it so that it's not stance specific to flash people mid juggle then his damage output has just been beefed up across the board.

    I'm a wee bit upset that it takes away part of the satisfaction of knowing you're launching in open and will reap the rewards but at the same time I'll take whatever they give him 'cause I can use the character.

    All those flash combos....MMMMMMM I like.

    Just means I get to show off more often :p

    It's not stance specific as far as I know.

    It shouldn't. It's lightweight only stuff and Jacky has always done massive damage against lightweights.

    Jacky still got the swagger in his moves to separate the beginner Jacky's from the stronger ends, though.

    Akira is more common with an easier command that does more damage with the bodycheck. If dudes don't punish maximum in FS now... it's a wrap.

    Haha if players don't know how to punish moves, you can just throw these things out.

    I think throw punishable moves is going to be a huge deal now, since you can only escape one input still, right? That could be why throw punishable moves net increased rewards this time.

    TEG might a lot more stronger than ETEG by far this time. You don't want to get caught with delayed floats.

    You're right about that :D, that's what I love about VF. It takes time to learn it so you can easily distinguish between a scrub and a veteran.

    TEG and ETEG will still be equally important IMO since (if I recall correctly) the reward for evading has changed. I believe you move more to the opponents side.

    Jacky can get 100 off MC High Angle on Taka too...

    You have to modify his combos a bit depending on weight but he can do 100 on everyone in FS. [​IMG]

    Like I said, BS fucking character lol
