From P+K+G (4P+K+G in VF4-VF5 vanilla), you have the old 2_8 inputs that are really evasive, I mean really evasive. The P from that movement seems slower than before though, so I rarely get it to connect on mC for a crumple.

If you enter 4 while in stance you have 3 attack options to input (before you're just BT). P is a high that knocks down mach-breaker style and on block it make the opponent have a strange animation (like Jeffry's new 1P+K). K is a mid kick with crazy range, leads to crumple and easy 2KPP/2KP>64P+KP/etc combos. 2K+G is a full circular sweep.

If you input 6 Aoi ducks really low (can go under mids) and you have 2 attack options. P is a uppercut like attack that leads to a 66K-style flop (and is super evasive). K is a low that knocks down on MC, but it is a very low "float" so you can only attach one hit to it (1K/2K/3K/low throw?).

Another tricky thing they added to Aoi in R(?) is all moves that have G-cancel, you have 2 options. P is a high attack that leads to a 40ish damage hit throw, and K is a mid knee. To perform these attacks you do 6PPGP_K (meaning, once you press G, you hold it and then press the attack of your choice). It's awesome, because when you're down on health and your opponent is playing machi, let's say you do 66P from max distance. It's easy to just block it, but G-cancel gives a new dynamic to this situation, if they call your bluff and try to throw, the new attacks will connect. If they continue to block, you're in throw range. Of course, if your opponent is Aoi, it's a different story (P+K+G/P+K+G2_8 beats attacks, and if they side step, they only need to enter a side throw escape).

Aoi is awesome (I'm just playing Pai right now... I know, wtf? FS ruined most of the characters I liked and made one of the most hated and boring characters into holy-shit-fucking-awesome to play).

False. Viable tool now due to 1 throw escape, but it's slow and evade-able (and in FS, that's dangerous).

just like in VF3. jumping attacks seemed overpowered until you realized that they were linear and open to being creamed.

Well, some characters have full circular low options on the while-landing, but nothing is stopping you from hitting them in mid air, or jumping over said low and hitting with a jumping attack of your own (it's fun!)
