Akira's db+p (i think that's the command for his new HDP) goes under and through DS uf+k+g. Later on his f,f+p+k goes under DS b+p+k. Game goes to 5th round.

2nd round @1:11 vanessa's throw is escaped, she backs away, then does DS df+k, jeffry blocks and clips to a sideblock animation 3rd round new DS wall throw animation Game goes to 5th round.

but nah the level up VFDC comment by me is for just all of use to get stronger. The other day, I was saying if everyone that's still playing got much stronger at the game, I think it would pull others back in, atleast out of curiosity.

 

Im trying my best. I guess some don't understand move ments and set ups in R and FS apply to vanilla. "I can watch a vf video and level up ever so slightly. You have my Word Shou.. I will beat you someday.

 

Shou is very good at the game - he'd likely destroy me. He's not Joseph good, though. Watch round 4 - maybe that was pure block and observe. In round 5 Joseph stops the flow just before KO. Also, I think Shou makes big money. He might have paid him to take a dive.

Honestly, I have videos of Itazan taking it easy on me in 2007. It's not that uncommon for pros to have mercy.[/size]

I'm all for the level-up. That's why I invite people over. I need to get my ass kicked.

I'm trying to break down vs Character things, that need to be understood. I mean pretty much knowledge traps, stuff we should be doing vs a specific character as standard fair to beat said character and shave their movelist. Like how, when you guard a 6P from Jacky going for immediate 2P freezes Jacky from doing most of his attacks afterward, except in open stance(vs heavyweights open stance doesn't work either). And how, vs Sarah's flamingo if you guard a deep mid, using a full circular immediately after will shut down 99% of flamingo for free unavoidable damage. This is the kind of stuff we know about our own character but the community doesn't really know for each character the standard counters for common situations, so we subject ourselves to to shenanigans and difficult to guess situations. If everyone knows, and it's there then everyone will level up just from knowing this kind of information, then their character specific stuff they'll get.

I used to only be considered decent at this game by U.S. standards, only because I'm an extremely good guesser and can hitcheck moves.

Well, my guessing luck has long run out, and my hitchecking is terrible now because I'm easily distracted by own personal problems. So I'm effectively terrible at this game, today, and anyone that can't defeat me 20 in a row sucks too.

I agree with the match we saw, it looked like he sandbagged like a mofo.

Since we don't know, if FS will ever come out, I say we just get so good at the current VF we got, that everyone will want to play just cause that shit will look so good.

Also, I'm guilty of taking it easy too, but it's because I get so easily distracted more than I care to admit. But I ain't a pro so it's whatever.

 

Shou Sarah is about my favorite one, pretty sure he has his own channel/blog at zomme.jp.

 

I wish Numbers would body me. Like one day I want to walk into his crib and he gets up out of nowhere and just starts choking me. I would love it. I definitely know some potential VF players around where I live.

I'm also trying to learn how to play Vanessa. Gotta speak to ma boy Booker. DS is strange but a good change of pace for me; intentionally being unmoral ALOT

On the side, let's pray for FS. I'm not even worried about the system changes. VF is alot of fun.

Round 2: what's that very first move Jacky uses? Don't think i've seen it before

Round 3: OS f,f+k is used to punish a whiffed sweep. This is not possible in VF5 because OS f,f+k only staggers on crouch guard .

Round 4: DS b+k+g is now 18f; back crumple animation seeems new, Jacky falls to the ground sideways.

 

While I don't like the new animation, OS 66K is really good now. OS Vanessa is much stronger now and is far far less boring.

Also, 4K+G is now 44K, still useless, but it can be used to run away as her forward walk is fast or you can do this:

44K-> BT 9K+G (really 7K+G)-> new stance 4P+K+G. Covers so much distance when you have the life lead, but you want to fight only on your terms.
