VF5 Final Showdown Videos

Sarah player cleverly evades OS b+p (VF5 db+p+k) to vane's back in the begining of the first round - vanessa player ends round with OS d+k+g (that tracks to her back).

Second round Sarah player uses of flamingo's evasiveness to make pile bunker whiff, twice! Sarah's sweep from the new stance does a nice chucnk of 42 dmg on CH.

Third round OS uf+k+g flies over a low attack as usual. Vanessa player gets one takedown in; Sarah player adapts and breaks it the next time. Wall break on OS d+k,p,p.

Fourth round DS uf+k+g > wall splat > k > d+k, talk about a braindead wall combo Vanessa player goes for a mid after evading sarah's flamingo.

While this match might seem unimpressive, i liked how both players seemed to adapt to their opponent on the fly - switching semicirculars, evading takedown, dealing with flamingo etc.

 

Who is the star Sarah player. I saw some of them in R but I haven't seen any in FS.

@2:13 eileen does mid punch, mid punch, superman mid punch (f+p+k,p,qcf+p). Vanessa does DS b,f+k (sabaki window 1-13). Eileen wins.

 

I'm afraid i must insist that vanessa is hit during the startup of her b,f+k animation. By downloading the vid from youtube and watching it frame by frame locally one can see that vanessa's right foot has barely left the ground.





You can also hear the hit SFX interrupt vanessa's soundclip for b,f+k.

Those are my two arguments as to why i think this midpunch hits vanessa during what is suposed to be the sabaki frames of the b,f+k kick that sabakis midpunches.

 

That's what I like about Vanessa. Once she gets going, she can't be stopped.
Also, RAMPAGE DRIVE! at 1:50. I never get tired of seeing that move.

These guys make Lau seem Gdlk.

 

New exactly how that last match was gonna go when I saw the unwise Character selection. Other than that ot was great.

 

The Shun seemed to just give away the match with unsafe drinking against Lau.

 

I dunno, VF is changing. Oh btw did they increase the damage on Jackys flip kick? I saw some vids recently where it hit and it was pretty like good. In a combo even.

 

I hear yah man, but somehow when I saw the "Lei Fei" selection I knew it wouldn't be that much of a match. Haven't seen to many Lei Fei's beating good Lau's or Akira's in vids.

The last one is quite striking as he cancels the sidestep and enters throw escapes.
