yeah @3:07 thats a big no no.. imagine moves whiffing at key moments.

 

Vane has a move from ground stance that catches low punches. That was it.

 

Notice the advantage counter at 3:07, vanessa goes from -11 to +10 while standing up. Its clearly a parry/inashi from that stance. I recall seeing another video where she did the same to El Blaze and got a free 3P+K with it.

My point is just that, you must be really great at the game, to play armchair and say another player is in scrubcity based on one match.

Who do you play against in VF around where you live? Or are you just in match analysis theorycity?

The play looked poor so I made a comment, and if that's the best I could do, I wouldn't have much interest in VF or any fighters.

I don't play VF5 much now as it has no online for PS3 and nobody I know will play VF5 with me anymore. When they do i'm barred from picking certain characters or it's immediate quitting time. Was the same story with Tekken 2, Tekken Tag etc. People always dropping the "you play this game too much, yadda yadda).
I have kicked the idea of getting a 360 around since the price is on the cheap. But I really dislike M$. Although the tremendous trash talking that takes place on LIVE is awesome (especially for fighters).

The last online fighter I played was DOA on the old Xbox (i'm not counting Tekken 6 as i sold that 2 days after I purchased it). Loved the Tekken series until that POS 6 dropped. I had never played the DOA games before and it took me all of a few weeks to snag max rank (SS) and compete with the top tier players. Granted DOA is also scrub city, but after dropping roughly 20 years into fighting games it's fairly easy to adapt too most of them.

Listen man, don't take it the wrong way. It just looked like straight up disrespect to the player you know nothing about. To call someone a scrub in a game you haven't even played yet, too, is even weirder to me personally(I don't speak for everyone). It just looked arrogant, that's why I said what I said to you. It rubbed me the wrong way, and I just had to post, my bad.

I don't really need your fighter background history, I was able to kind of guess. It's quite simple, if you play competent VF against human opponents who are also competent VF players, you generally gain a respect to all players' hustle at the game, very much so when you're just spectating, and also especially when they're playing a version you have yet to play. There's obvious ego that can come into play, but it's usually based on being real competitive.

And, in general with playing against a human opponent, sometimes one of the players will look straight up awful during a match, it's just how it is sometimes.

 

I agree with all of that, fighters generally full of everything above and massive ego's collide, iz great fun. Also agree that everyone can look like a scrub at a given time.

Again just thought play was crappy, and I trash talk alot at the forums I mod, and most of the ones I frequent. Also do a ton of it in life generally (lead toa ton of fights). I'm not really meaning it to be "you're a useless POS, and the worst player i've ever seen".

Sometimes things come off worse in text on a forum than what's intend *bans self*.

I agree text comes off worse than intended, but couple this with the fact that I'm just very irritable. So, yeah, I wish I could smoke up right now too, but I have none.
