    Maybe people are over-reacting, or just not seeing what actually happened, but the KO in that first round was the result of more than just a "single mistake". There were actually three:

    1st mistake: [4][6][P][+][K][+][G] CH
    This put the opponent side turned, and gave Akira +9f advantage.

    2nd mistake: [4][3][P] CH
    The [4][3][P] executes in 21f, which means it's far from guaranteed in a +9 side turn situation. Hence, the second mistake is Goh's attempt to attack from a -9 side turn disadvantage. After Akira's [4][3][P] hits, he has a huge +17f advantage, making the following two hit combo guaranteed.

    3rd mistake: [4][6][6][P][+][K] CH
    After the 2nd mistake above, the opponent is still side turned and Akira has +7f advantage. The bodycheck from here is by no means guaranteed, but Goh's attempt to attack from side turn under a big disadvantage against the bodycheck was his 3rd and final mistake for that round.

    So as you can see, after the first mistake, had Goh merely guarded then the entire sequence would have ended there. Personally, I love that this kind of thing is possible now due to the revamped side turn mechanic!

    Finally, losing a round in VF due to three mistakes is nothing new.

    No over reaction at all on my end, actually. I probably really should've left more of an indication that the quote wasn't supposed to be that literal. I'm guessing the *ba dum ching* wasn't enough to pass it off as a joke, but oh well.

    Great write-up of the video to explain how it all works though.

    I've seen rounds end in four moves in the past, so no complaints here.

    Yup... 3 big mistakes just like that Goh player made equals one quick round in ANY VF game. Nothing new about this!

    Exactly. Only real difference is the time it took for the lifebar to deplete haha.

    As to actual matches, I'm really liking how FS seems to be developing in terms of flow. This whole sideturned business is pretty damn fun looking. Scary, but fun looking.

    The time it took for the life bar to deplete, and the fact that neither Goh nor Akira walked forward or backwards, or even to the side.

    I think they were just doing practice, and if the opponents chose to block, Akira can also use his throw combo instead of bodycheck.
