The images below were taken from DK blogspot, but it would be neat to have a feature that allows us to change camera angles / see hitboxes / pause or slow game speed. I think the below images clearly show the benefit of having that feature.

    looks like both attacks connected...

...but the low kick actually misses

look at it from the top...

    ...clearly sees the kick misses.

Maybe this will be a new feature for the arcade version (or just photoshopped for blog)?

Could change the in game camera in VF1 too, I remember there was a camera angle that was behind the player. I seem to remember this being in VF2 as well but it might have been just in the replays.

I Remember doing it on Bushido Blade 2 too, and maybe Virtual On...

    Manji reminded me of this in the shoutbox;

when you save a replay, the name should default to show who is playing, what characters you're both using and the dates, plus stuff like the stage and rounds/time settings.

It does this in Blazblue and it makes life a lot easier. An option change the replay names or to add notes to each replay later would be nice, but the default should be useful information, rather than just the 2 characters being used.

This would be an easy feature to implement and along with a quicksave feature would help and encourage saving and sharing of replays. Good for the community and free advertising if they make it to youtube.

I think I added this when I compiled all the ideas.

Myke I realise the formatting is pretty messy on that list and some of it could have been worded better, if you need me to change anything just let me know. I can just edit it [IMG]

Let players submit their names and characters again for quest mode.

Don't think we'll have a quest mode as we once did.

Original post updated with a consolidated list. Thanks to Feck for putting the list together, and blame him if your "wish" isn't included... but it's probably because it sucks. Just kidding. Or am I? [IMG]

What would be really nice for the training mode is a feature where we could practice hitchecking. You could throw an attack, and the AI would randomly cause it to be guarded, result in a normal hit, result in a counter hit, or result in a hit on a crouching opponent. You should be able to toggle on and off all of these individual outcomes. It would also be pretty cool for the AI to randomly attempt to throw a character's fastest elbow/mid punch in response to a guarded attack.

Also, for the tutorial mode it might be better to separate it into beginner and advanced versions. That way, beginners can experience some sort of reward and accomplishment for having done the basics, while providing more incentive to continue to learn more. I don't like the idea of earning items to customize your character through these modes, as I'd like the manner in which to attain items to be as true as possible to the arcade version. But a wallpaper or something like there was in VF4:Evolution could be nice.

    - When saving replay, make sure the replay automatically shows who you played against, preferably with wins/losses stats etc.
    - When saving replay, make the game default to "new replay" instead of you having to scroll through every replay saved so far to get to "new replay".
    - make replays savable from both ranked and player matches.

ps. I think we need to clarify what makes matchmaking "better".. Im not sure sega devs can think on their own.

Nice list. Should we be writing a proper rational for each thing to make life as easy as possible for Syzygy?

I think a lot of it goes without saying, but if it makes it more likely we get stuff it may be worth the time.

I want a story mode & Replay mode where you can directly upload your replays to you tube.

I doubt they will make a story mode,

I think non-CG endings could be feasible, either static images or anime style shorts,

But in-game intermissions are not going to happen IMO. that stuff is Namco territory,

TBH I dont want them, I think they are terrible, both in SC and Tekken. people die and then come back, animosity between relatives, its all so juvenile. I rather it be left to Namco.

the real bad side of it is the need to re-boot the franchise every 3 games. so move forward in time 20 years, kill off everybody who is old and replace with somebody with spiker hair and/or flatter boobs.

VF fighters must be the oldest people across the fighting game board! in facts, the have kepet their ages in line with real life time!

So Akira was born September 23, 1968 and hes REALLY 41 years old as we speak! crazy old dude if you ask me!

Pai Chan -- Birthdate: May 17, 1975 one year older than my wife!

Lau Chan, Pai's father—Birthdate: October 2, 1940 LOL if this was Tekken, he would have undergone 3/4 deaths and returns from deaths already.

Long story short: if you want a good story, read a book (or play mortal kombat! LOL)

One thing that annoyed me in VF5 vanilla was that after joining a session (and as a result playing on the 2P side) my controls would be changed to whatever was set for the 2P! I hate having to quit just to change my controls. Hope Sega addresses this in FS

you have to change buttons configuration on the 2P side in the option menu, you only need to do it once and you're set
