I really can't think of anything that the announcement would be other than the release date and/or pricing. I guess it could be some new features like character intros or details about the online/special sparing modes or something, but I doubt it.

I really hope if it is the release date that the date is like, around the end of June. Having it out right before EVO would be perfect. It would get so much word of mouth there. Of course, anytime earlier than that would be fine as well!

I can see it in the end of June, or near it. After the last STA tourney to be specific.

for some reason i wouldn't be surprised they release it alittle bit after sonic 4:epsoide 2, that's may 16, so i'm thinking elither same day to same week or even maybe that last week of the month. who knows with sega.

we've been hearing about the Vf6 thing... yet still this version hasn't been on console.. [IMG] i think for players like me who hasn't played it (also Vf5r) will have a bigger adjustment with VF6's gameplay.

June 5th/6th Release!!! Man that's so close!

(DLC seems a little steep though)

Unless I am reading this wrong. Correct me if I am. 15+(5*19)+(15+15)= $140 for the full game w/out a disc. Not quite Idol Master territory, but still steep.

Yea you read it wrong. There's 2 bundles, one with all items for 9 characters, the other with 10 characters. Each bundle is $15. So the everything (game plus the 2 bundles) would be $45.

You just got thrown off by the $5 for each character if you was to buy all 19 of them individualy. Then it'd be $95 for the DLC if bought individualy.

But yea, $45 for game and all DLC.

Even though i am probably gonna stick with Sarah 99% of the time, i still want to see all the crazy customizations for each of the characters when online, plus as I stated before, this is a game i would not mind paying $100 for. $45 is a great price compared to let's say $60 for a newly-released retail game with more money needed for DLC.

Yea same. I pretty much only use Akira, but am getting all of it to be able to see others customized characters too, and to reasonably support SEGA. I say reasonably cause i'm not bout to buy em individually to give em more money than I have to [IMG]

Shooot, I might even start tryin some other people out just cause of the items hahah.

And yea, $45 for the game plus 14,000+ items is an amazing deal.

Not only will I be buying both the 360 and the PS3 version but i will also be buying all the DLC for the 360 version. I must show support for Sega and VF is my favorite fighting game, so there. On launch I will also be streaming live online lobbies for a while so I'm really excited!

Yup PSN with all the DLC, their are some characters n both packs i want and $45 is perfectly fine with me. New games here cost $66 after state sales tax...

Can't wait to actually be able to play a VF game online [IMG]

Not sure if this is entirely on topic, but it didn't warrent it's own thread:

We all know it's possible now to have a mask-less Kage, but can you have a mask-less El Blaze? I've looked through this item list (http://buga.chew.jp/vfitem/) but I can't see an option for it. There is a sombrero without a mask, but judging from videos it looks like you can't wear it without his normal mask (the same way you can't change any character's hair colour if they're wearing a hat because hats are a "hair" item).

If we can't have El Blaze un-masked I say we send another petition Sega's way lol.

It could be a very similar reason for Tekken's King/Armor King characters.

What's that reason? I don't know Tekken very well.

Luchadores always wear their masks, its considered sacred. They even wear them in public outside of the ring. Not wearing a mask would leave them disgraced.

Only way a luchador would don off his mask is if he lost a special match with a fellow luchador where the loser would had to do so.

Don't ever expect El Blaze without his mask on.

I did not know that. Do you mean they have to wear them in public outside of the ring even if it's not an appearance, like if they're just going shopping or something? Seems a bit strange, 'coz nobody would know it was them so who would know Mr Luchadore was out without his mask on lol?

I guess it's a bit like how WWE wrestlers are expected to literally NEVER break character. The difference is though people know WWE wrestler's faces (with a handful of exceptions).
