I dunno. While I agree that it certainly couldn't hurt to have a team option available, I don't think it's at all necessary, let alone reflective of SEGA's ability or willingness to make the game fun and interesting. 5 is simply a different entity from 3, and that's okay. Final Showdown won't be any less complete, in my book.

I'd love it if they redid the English voice-overs... seeing as how most of them are cringeworthy as hell. HOT DOG!!!!!!!!

I can mostly agree with that. I think that most of the English-speaking cast and related cheeseball need not be changed. Perhaps they could use more recordings for different moves, so we're not treated to the same "YEAH!" every five seconds. As for El Blaze, I really would like to hear him voiced in Spanish.
(Insert Spanish translation for one of El Blaze's lines)

"Mi cuerpo es una arma imparable!" >:D

If only the current voice actor could speak Spanish.

I'm not at all sure he'd pronounce any of it correctly, even if he knew enough vocabulary to do it.

    I'd like Subtitles...

Mention it at the next Southtown Arcade stream Q & A with a Sega rep. We aren't getting a story mode. They could at least subtitle PAi and Lau's jibber jabber.

I pretty much agree, I'm not saying this just because I'm a fan of Sarah, but doesn't anyone else think she is the most decent english speaking character ever since she started talking in a more realistic way in VF4? May not be 100% realistic, but better than most of the other English speaking characters.

Also i would agree on subtitles especially if they can make them available in other languages via an option in the settings menu (be good for people who speak a different language or learning a new language). I actually heard via a Q and A when VF5 was releasing on Xbox 360 that they might include subtitles for future releases.

    I don't see why they haven't, really.

I bugged the SEGA reps about subtitles. They're still working on localization, so it is still technically a possibility.

Random post, did anyone notice El Blaze's stage still says "Excitement and invigoration offered to all men" in the background? Sega is listening to players more than we think o.o

I honestly think they should make it the tagline for the game.

That is not new, pretty sure that's been in since vanilla VF5.

What's new in FS on El Blaze stage is the show the score of the fight going on.

Aye, that'd be why he said the stage "still says" that adorable statement, though to be fair, it seemed unlikely that they would take it out or change it.

If I didn't find it so amusing (and like I said, it should be the game's tagline), I would almost want them to change it, due to being a new game and blah, blah, blah.

But really, I think it'd be great to see the line find its way into other SEGA titles as a fun little tribute to us Virtua fans.

There won't be a release date until very close to release since it's a download title.

    Can someone explain this restriction?

One thing that is needed as a console feature: the ability for the host to kick any player from the room. This has to happen , since there are eight player lobbies., the probability of one player joining with a lousy wi-fi connection he is stealing from his neighbor will reduce all the matches to a slide show. Another common occurance in the DOA 4 DOA Ultimate and MVC3 8 player rooms, the lamer player with a lag switch that induces lag whenever he is about to lose . They use that lag induced slideshow as a disruption to turn the tables.

Capcom dropped the ball not once, but twice with M v C3 and Ultimate MVC3. Last week after wiping out a players Zero in 20 seconds, I got hit with a lag storm as I was doing the same thing to his doctor strange. It only happened as his character was taking a beating. With no ability to simply kick him,The third player in the room and I had to leave to start another room.

Other than that concern, for a budget title, I'm satisfied with the feature set Sega has put together for FS so far.
