•"99.99%" of customizations from arcade will be available in the game (Japanese specific items not included).

What are the japanese specific items? [IMG]

I assume items that have the Japanese flag on it.

I'm willing to bet the customizable Japanese flag banners will not be included because in the arcade a person would have to place the writing of it on their VF.net account.

I'm praying they include the special items with unique win poses. [IMG]

I'm hoping the vocaloids make it in.

Are the vocaloids the things that shout out random things during a match? If so the vocaloids might be something that gets cut so they don't have to re-record the voices in english. Then again, they could just leave it in the way it is in the arcade and let non-Japanese players complain about it.

I hope that they include the item win poses :), too.

And the win poses where the Vocaloid models sing is very cool :DD.

There have been many items released in Japan that coincided with national festivals, events, and so on. Some already mentioned collaborations with Vocaloids, and there was a collaboration with the game El Shaddai as well. I'd imagine that these are the "Japanese specific" items being referred to.

Also, I don't recall if this question had been asked/answered yet, but if uptake for DLC items is good enough, then I don't see why SEGA won't continue to release new items, perhaps even console specific ones, over time. If they've established the right framework for DLC, then there are many possibilities.

Still hoping this would be the case and Sega decides to add VF5R stages for DLC. I think it would net them another tidy profit.

I think it would be a mistake to not put in the Miku items. She's popular enough over here that they would sell. Maybe a seperate $1.00 DLC and see how it does?

Remember guys this game will also be available to the Japanese market. It wouldn't make sense to exclude certain items depending on region.

I think this a legit worry. You may not care as a hardcore gamer, but this isn't good for casuals or newcomers. FS without a quest like mode may not attract a lot of the casuals or newcomers. And what VF community needs is to have more newcomers and casuals.

On top of that aren't all the items DLC, beside the 4 default sets? So as far as the info we have now, we have no single player to work toward creating a character.

EDIT: Let me clarify . My worry was is that there are people who play casually who won't buy this game cause there is no quest like mode. Now I know that there will be some sort of progression single player mode, but it probably won't be with items cause most of it is DLC.... am I right? I'm gonna buy it regardless, but just saying that some people won't cause they feel a item progression(quest mode) is a make or break for them. And I guarantee that mahmood1982 isn't the only one who feel this way, and thats what i'm worry about. Hopefully SEGA's replacement will be enough to convince these people otherwise.

Why are people still worried about "no quest mode"?

Did everyone forget the competition SEGA ran to get ring names, etc to use in game? What do you think that was for?

Don't worry guys, I'm sure there'll be a single player mode where you'll be fighting the CPU at different levels of AI. It just won't be called "Quest Mode".

Can we get past this already?

Nothing legit about worrying. Quest mode is pretty cool since companies don't count refunds (deletions in this case) so yeah, more sales.

If someone isn't going to buy the game because of the lack of Quest Mode, they can spend their $ more wisely on a gun and a bullet and shoot themselves in the genitals.
