I'm just going from that small interview and a few other facts but it seems like they actually might be making a decent effort this time around. Lets see what unfolds over the next few months [IMG]

Can they at least have the sense to put it out early enough that it could possibly be at the next Evo?

Downloadable only is the Smartest business move Sega could make for this title. It's and expansion for a 5 year old game, that only sole 200k on each system. Do the math. I rather Sega make the most money possible on this so they are encouraged to release console versions of the inevitable VF6 expansions in the future. Or would you rather wait 2 years for an expansion next time around?

Segas finally being smart, good for them.

We are all going to buy it and we know it. I would imagine that VF has the most dedicated hardcore fans of any console title. Sega knows that. I suspect that a very high percentage of them have online. So Sega probably will lose very few sales by having the title be online only.

      Oh yeah, I almost forgot.

THIS IS THE BEST NEWS THIS GENERATION.

Hopefully the tutorial will have all the features that VF4:Evo had. I also hope that we can save ALL of our matches to the hard drive, online, offline, vs. computer, arcade, tutorial and anywhere else. It can't be that hard its just storing a time info and button presses.

I question the timing pretty much and that was why I was upset it was summer next year. Isn't that when TT2 comes to consoles? That could be a pure disaster.

That sounds like fairly good timing to do the next big VF thing. They could be waiting to release Final Showdown for console in 2012 to build up to it. Might be a decent marketing decision actually. Have it fresh in people's minds when the new one comes out to blow them away. </div></div>

LOLOLOLOLOL I'm gonna have to buy a lottery ticket today!!

      So hyped right now.

Can't wait to see everyone, also can't wait to see the new faces, I believe there will be many.

I also hope it drops early summer, not late summer.

Namco will probably let Tag 2 simmer for a bit in the arcades. Soulcalibur 5 is going to be next year and I don't think Namco wants two of their fighters competing for sales in the same year.

Nah it won't be a distater.. Sega still have to let it get milked all the way to version c. whether it can be purchased physically or not i just hope sega makes it final.. This is one game i feel deserves to be present at WCG and EVO12. With all of the hours i spent watching FS footage i will make it to evo for this shit and place top 30. Fuck all that. We all should be able to get to evo and rep this game. Thank You Sega.. Can we Get R in the same package? I know i asking for a lot but...

The question is will this be out in time for EVO Las Vegas championship. If it is released late summer forget it. It's sad we might have another year of Evo without a Virtua Fighter game. Blame Sega for not releasing this in early 2012. Fuudo will have the opportunity to defend his Super Street Fighter 4 championship..because most likely there wont be a VF tournament for him
