No online. Vs mode is good though, esp. if you play one of the 4 characters. You can rematch as much as you want and it's set to 3 rounds.

    Hi. I just registered here.

I had rented VF4, but I was way into 3S and CvS2 at the time, and didn't give it a fair shot. I want to play VF5, and I want to master Goh. Judo rocks.

I just downloaded this demo and I'm blown away. If only Goh was playable here. Oh well.

The xbox d-pad stands up pretty well, imo.

  5. Im at work and for the life of me I cant remember the 4th person on the demo.., is it Sarah? I played this morning before I left for work.., Gonna go find My boy at Frys and have him abuse his discount for the hori sticks..., ok SO Akira, Eileen, and El Blaze, who am I missing?~Q

    ATTENTION PAD PLAYERS

This is coming from the #1 pad player so pay attention. I recently downloaded the vf5 demo on the 360 and proceeded to play a few matches to get adjust with the 360 pad. For those without a 360 wondering if they can adopt with the d-pad much like you were able to with the ps3 let me be the first to tell you that it CANT BE DONE. The d-pad is completely intolerable which leaves you only at 3 options either you finally switch to a stick, buy the expensive converter or wait for other converters to be available.

Yo, this is DancingFighterG. From the looks of it I definitly won't use the d-pad on the 360 controller. I'm just curious about the analog stick?

  8. Denkai is right the dpad on the 360 sucks, I refuse to use it for this game. I haven't even tried it on the demo, I just know from playing the street fighter game. I used the thumbstick on the 360 pad and it was ok, but I'll get the hori sticks and have them ready for the game so I will be practicing on the demo until the end o da month.., so Denkai, did you read my post? No help? whos the forth person man.., lol BTW I want some good HC VF players to play with, I havent played consistantly in years but when I did it was everyday all day, needless to say none of my friends can keep up. So yall add me if ya like.~Q

PS my gamertag is my screen name here. and yes it has to do with my martial sciences studies. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I'm no pad supporter, but if you insist on using the 360 D-Pad, make sure you use a wired controller and not the wireless one.

I really thought I would hate the DoA stick for this, but surprisingly enough I have no execution problems with it. I may add some weight to it but I really don't have any real gripes other than it feeling cheap lol.

What's the difference between wired and wireless? Online lag?

Is Dural playable online (I hope not...)

And the english commentary stuff in versus tickles me. Wtf is it about?

As far as how much the 360 pad sucks for VF, I'm totally with you there.

Yo, this is DancingFighterG. DrunknIronRabit, I have considered that if the thumbstick does not work for me. I have stick for my ps3 so it's not like moving to stick would be hard but we will see what happens.

Thank you krsjin for placing the hatered on the pad /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Just kidding!!

When playing the demo i didn't once use the d-pad, and I would refuse too. I never use the d-pad for any direction movement in any of my 360 games. the 360 grey d-pad is asbsolute suckage cos frankly, it's not built for this. If i must use it, I use it in shooters when it's a weapon select or something like that only.

When i played the VF5 demo i used the left analogue thumb stick on the 360, as it was intended and IMO, it's absolutely great. It feels quick, repsonsive, and more importantly precise. I had little trouble repeating moves. However, I naturally find my finger dexterity with a game pad is much better and everything naturally flows for me. I can't use old school fighting sticks to save my life, despite ordering one to practise.

But the only way you can ever know for sure is to play the demo yourself with the 360 pad, and if neither left stick on the pad, nor the d-pad is up to your standard, invest in a proper fighting stick.

That d-pad sucks even for menus so I can't imagine it being very good for VF :p

  15. Combo arent you on my FL? english commentary? i'll have to check that.., the wired one is better? i know that the wired one on the madcatz wired one is better if you need a d-pad.., Still no one gonna help with the forth person on the demo? akira, eileen, el blaze, and who? is it sarah? someone help me out~Q

Anybody who has the PS3 version of the game and is also a 360 owner, could help me clarify something. Have any of ya notice how dark the 360 version is? I have a Dual HDMI input on my HD set.

While comparing the two(I was bored) I notice the contrast is very low compare to the PS3 version. Even in the stages were theres alot of light, the characters still seem Dark on the 360. I don't get to see all of El Blaze back muscles. The self shadowing is not even noticeable, a matter a fact I think is not even there.

Mind you, I not dissing the 360 version at all, the game plays pretty solid with the 360 pad. And the gameplay(whats important) is there. Just nip picking, LOL.

Shinobi, different video connections will give different results on some games. Try using Vga or Component, or maybe you have to adjust your video settings a bit.

DrunkIronRabbit - the 4th character is indeed Sarah.

  19. That it is, I was trying to edit that last comment of mine and the website was fighting me so I gave up trying. I just had my friend at frys pick me up a hori stick with his discount and it was 16 bux off hehe, gonna go home and beat the crap outta the demo with my new stick.

Did anyone try it with an XFPS?

The d-pad is surely average at best.
I could perform many moves with Akira (i didnt expect them to work) but when i pressed b, f+P most of the times i got a heavy down attack (u+P).
    Sucks.

The analog was much better than i expected it to be, but still it's not enough.

I am wondering if the xfps is lag free.
