I'll see what I can do to get down there this Saturday. No promises though since I don't have a car and am under 21.

I was wrong. D&B's DO NOT have VF4 evo. They only have Ver. B VF4. Only the underground have evolution. It seems like the lady that owns the place is a really nice owner and she listens to the players for what should be done in the arcade. As of right now, evo is sitting in a crappy old cabinet with crappy sticks in the corner. If enough Atl players played there and asked if she can switch the board into the tekken tag cabinet then it would be great. Since all the tekken cabinets have much nicer sticks. Just a thought. /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

Well, I went down to Underground on Sunday. And that cabinet....oi. Terrible. I'd like to see it put in one of the two(?!) SCII cabinets. The button layout isn't so bad ,but i don't know much about the sticks. Guess I'm just to used to JP sticks. Also , TTT's cabinet would work since the screen is nice and large. But anyway, ya next time I go i'll also put in a word to get the Evo in a nicer cabinet. And BTW, did your wrists hurt like hell from the button layout or was it just me?

alot of my friends complained about their wrist hurting... hehe. Since the buttons are not angled and the buttons are too far apart from each other. The lady that owns the arcade is a very nice person, she listens to the players there. I'm sure she may be able to put evo into one of the nicer cabinets. If any of you Georgia players didn't read my other post. Knoxville is having a tournament around november 20th, so plan on coming if you guys want some good competition. I'll post more detail later on the knoxville tournament thread. /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

I just thought I'd inform all folks in Georgia that Georgia Tech just got a VF Evo machine. The best part is its only 20 cents!!! I haven't checked it out yet, but I'll try to check out what else they have. They also have SCII, T4, TTT, DDR MAX2, and Police 911: 2

How are they working out the 20 cents deal? two dimes? /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif On a serious note though, are there alot of players down in GA tech? If so then I'll be more than willing enough to head down and play with you all. Cause I'm starting to dislike the idea of traveling to play against the computer... If there are frequent players down in GA then I'll probably head down every weekend. But still.. 20 cents evo, sounds very good. Let me know what the scene is like down there, I definitely want to play some of the GA people. /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

Heh, well sorry to tell you that there is NO VF scene in GA its all Tekken...

Yeah.. that is too bad.. Down at the underground the only people who played me were people that wanted to play games but were too afraid to challenge the 'other' fighting games.. aka, masher. It was good being able to play for a long time on two quarter, and some of them sort of knew what they were doing; but it's nothing like playing good competitions. That's too bad, but I'll probably make the drive down still sometimes in hope I can find a fellow VFer on the machine. hehehe /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

    Hey.

Are there any VF players in the Northeast Georgia (Royston, Lavonia, Hartwell, etc) area? If not, where is the best place to meet up? I'm a long-time fan of the series, and would love to finally play competitively again (haven't done so since the VF2 days). My attempts to get a hard-core Tekken player to learn were less than successful /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Nice to see some interest in VF in GA. I am north of Atlanta in Alpharetta. Not averse to driving either.

I mostly play Jacky, and have played since VF1.

Cool. I've been playing since VF1 also, mostly use Sarah and occassionly Pai.

I'm not too adverse to driving either. Do you play any other fighters? Any 2d's?

    columbus, ga reporting in...

not much of an arcade scene here(which sucks as there used to be some decent comp back in the day), so my vf'ing is on ps2 evo /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif but i would relish the chance to get back into some good ol arcade comp.

vf is really the only 3d fighter ill play, but as far as 2d im down for just about anything (especially kof or sf3.3)as long as its not mvc2 [puke]

    also, i <3 fps /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

a tourney or just a gaming get together in the atl would be awesome and i would definitely make the trip.

Wow I was the last person to post in this forum more than a year ago. Well whats the news on VF5. I haven't played VF in so long. Been mostly into T5 and now that T5 Dark resurrection and DOA4 coming out soon I hope that VF5 will have a fighting chance.

    Welcome back!

If you can, try to find the time to get back into vf a little bit. I go to school at Southern and am in China right now on an exchange program. I *plan* to return next July. At southern I got a little get together for a while just for vf players. I am from Marietta, but my rents just moved to Auburn but I still should be able to meet in northern/southern georgia areas to play. Stuck here just watching videos and pretending my stick is in front of me practicing commands, quite sad, really. God, I miss vf, the only game I played/studied for a little over two years now. Should probably get a ps2 here soon and get my stick shipped or something...[/rant]

Just recently found out my friend from kennesaw is interested, got him to join the site. Don't know how serious he is but he says he is working on building his own stick, lol. PM him if you want, his VF SN: SephirothLance

Just want to say again, try your best to find time to get back into vf! Try to get people interested if you can! Good luck and thanks!
