The 5th video ("vf4evo_fty1905.asx") shows the REAL power of Jeffry. That player is very good.

    [6][K]+[G], [6][6][P]+[K][P]+[G] !!!!!

Goddamn I didn't even know [6][6]+[P]+[K] comboed from MC [6]+[K]+[G]...good shit!

    Re: am.sega media thread

I don't think it's guaranteed after the MC [6][K]+[G], but it sure looks like a combo in the video. Maybe the Jacky player whiffed a throw or tried to attack or something. Either way it's a pretty sick flowchart.

if i had to guess, i'd say jeffery's kick hit late in the attack window, so he recovered faster than jacky? just guessing but it might be why it comboed (or seemed to)

looks like a certain someone plays 2D fighters

Edit: According to 1/60sec, [6]+[K]+[G] has 8 hit frames, so yeah that's definitely why it comboed.

Also, 1/60 says that on mC, [6]+[K]+[G] gives +15 instead of the +13 it gets on MC. Interesting to note, although in the match it was definitely a (late) MC.

That's the first time I've heard about the +15 minor counter. That's a top tier move. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Jeffry is NOT a weak ass joke.

    Re: am.sega media thread

That was an impressive Shun player. MukkiAkira seemed a little off on the timing of the DLC and SPoD in those matches. The Aoi-Sarah match was the most fun to watch out of all the matches so far.

wow... two kickass shun tournaments in a row

i think there was only one or two rounds that shun won where he didnt get the full 6 drinksat the end.

does anyone have any information on who this shun is?

    Re: am.sega media thread

woohoo that was awesome. mad props to that player for being the second shun to qualify for the final tourney! /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif very good shun too, i like that tactic he uses against mukki where he waits a split second after his standing p hits before doing a chouwan/b+p so he can catch the missed evade animation (since a backdash chouwan can sometimes move you out of range if you don't time it well). good stuff!

just hope both shun's don't have to face homestay (the shun destroyer /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif) before the quarters or semis at least (provided they last that long).

    Re: am.sega media thread

    OK I try more translations:

The Shun that got beat by Mukki is "Minmi". The Shun that beat Mukki is "Kisaragi". The Aoi is "Nishidaru".

Also, I think that Sarah's name is supposed to be "Sarah Connor" heh.

That Shun vs Aoi match was pretty much over in the first 2 rounds! He has 12(!) drinks at the end of the first round, 20(!) at the end of the 2nd. Peace out.

Aoi Vs. Sarah = pure entertainment /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif! YY into [4][6]+[P] ~ [P]+[G] is the best!

And then we had a ground reversal, a wall jump-kick, and a crescent reversal too. A nicely placed catch throw by Sarah as well /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

minor counter f+K+G- f,f+P+K is guaranteed, Kyasao wrote about this in Arcadia (you can use it after guarding moves like Kage's f,f+P+K+G).

Interestingly, some moves have better frame advantage after mC as opposed to MC, Jacky's Dodge Attack is another one of them.

    Kisaragi shun:
When 6th beat-tribe cup, he was a member of team "Lions" which chura leipei was a member in.
In afternoon-preliminary match on Beat-tribe tourney, he once drove Chibita (Think Punk team) out of the tourney.
And Chibita got one of wild cards and came to Play-off again by winning a match with Shinz.

Do you refer to Aoi's f+[K][G] and her [6][6][P]+[K]?
